What happened to the food/service @ the Slanesville location??? We loved going there - after the temporary menu (during the opening/renovations going on at your Romney location) everything went downhill. The steaks were the best (THE Best) to be found between here & Annapolis... now not so much - average at best (diner quality/taste). We ordered carry out twice (& were sent on our way both times with only half of the order (the rest of the order - both times - was sitting right there next to what we were handed), this last time not only were we sent away with half the order, we were still missing food when handed the rest of the bags. It would be a little easier to understand had it been crazy busy, but it wasn't either time. Don't think we'll be back - what used to be apparently isn't there anymore, this appears to be the norm now. It appears all the talent/effort is going into the Romney location? The potential IS there. On a final note: Ladies, when you have customers your conversations can wait - make sure your customers has EVERYTHING they ordered in the carry out bags before you send them on their way, don't make a customer have to ask for the rest of what they paid for, and if they do have to ask for the rest of the order - take the time to recheck the bags to ensure they again don't leave without part of their order (even if you have to actually open a container). We've been a few times (5-6) and dining in isn't much better - definitely nothing like it was the first 2 times...
Read moreOur experience at Main Street Grill was surely one we would not forget. Our family decided to eat out for our Thanksgiving celebratory dinner (was actually two days after Thanksgiving)! We had a large party of over 20 people and reserved the back room for private parties. The restaurant was not busy for it being 6 o' clock on a Saturday night. Our waitress was not a pleasant person although the elf hat may have suggested otherwise. She messed up several side orders and blamed it on the kitchen, but never once apologized. I do sympathize with her however, due to the fact she was given this large party with no help other than when the food was being brought into the room. The waitress also could not keep up with refilling drinks. On one occasion she refilled a member of the family's soda half way with a large amount of seltzer water, placed the drink down in front of the guest knowing it was not appropriate for him to drink, said she'd bring him another out and never returned with a replacement. When the food finally arrived my Thanksgiving turkey sandwich dinner was cold and several of the side orders were incorrect. If i could give this review a 0/5 I would. I definitively will...
Read moreI bought tickets for the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad excursion, and after this amazing adventure I took my parents to this restaurant. We chose this restaurant because it has high reviews, and it was the closest to the railroad. We were happy to see how busy the restaurant was too... it is an indication that the food is good 😊.
They gave us warm bread and butter to start. The bread was delicious and very fresh! We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, and it was good. They gave us maraina sauce and sweet chili sauce for it. This was my first time trying calamari with sweet chili sauce, and it was delicious!!! I could eat this combo all day!
I got the seafood topped ravioli. I loved the scallops and shrimps. I thought the sauce was very heavy for this dish, and there was so much sauce to the point I had to scrap some off of my raviolis... but I loved my plate! My dad got the crab cakes with loaded potato and corn. My mom got a smokehouse burger with sweet potato. They both loved their entrees. There was nothing to take home!
We highly recommend this place. It is very clean, sweet staff, and the...
