We went for the first time and we're immediately struck by the sense of community you get as you walk in the door. This was echoed by the server, who was the owners daughter. It was refreshing to see other patrons talking and joking with each other, while being inclusive of people they don't know.
We tried a couple appetizers and a main course. - Their pretzels are amazing and the cheese had a bit of a kick to it that was great. _ The fried pickles are spears. They were good, but I miss the little bit of heat you usually find in fried pickles. They have malt vinegar at the table, which is good to see in a place that serve fish and chips (it always amazes me how many places here don't even have malt vinegar in their restaurant) I had fish and chips. The coleslaw was good, not too sweet. Fries needed salt, but fish was cooked well. My sister had a BLT. She is extremely picky, but she ate her sandwich without picking it apart. I know this doesn't seem like a big deal, but I can only think of one other time in 4 years where she didn't pick her sandwich apart to eat just the small bits she is ok with.
We will go back and we will take our family. We are excited to make The Cooper Still Pub & Grill a regular...
Read moreNaturally when I try somewhere new I look at the worst reviews first just to have an idea of whether or not there is some sort of trend before I go. I have read the reviews and I can debunk every single one of them right now and let the people before me know that they are pretty immature to have a 1 star rating over some of they're reviews. "No Mayo" get over it dude. ANYWAYS... Upon arrival I was treated very kindly by the Bartender Jewels/Jules or how ever you spell that lovely woman's name. She was attentive and informative about everything you could possibly drink or order. And as if she wasn't doing her part the other barkeep Billy was on his game as well making sure I was served as well. The food in my personal opinion is typical pub food but better. It comes in large portions so if your concerned about your diet eat before hand because they're funnel fries no matter how full you are, are awesome. The atmosphere for a Friday night was pretty great. I have not been there during the football season but I can say this much; it sounds like a lot of fun. My only complaint which is not a real one by any means is it should be a Packers...
Read moreMy wife and I went there last night. We had gone to another restaurant but didn't want to wait 40 minutes for a table. It was around 8 pm on a Friday when we arrived here. The place was full but there was 2 spots at bar. We were immediately greeted by Billy the bartender who made us feel welcomed. He asked us where we lived and we said outside of Buffalo. He informed us that this is a Buffalo Bills backer bar which made us feel at home since we are 35 year season ticket holders for the Bills. He also introduced us to Luke the cook how was from New York. We only ordered fried pickles and of course hot chicken wings. Both were excellent and the wing sauce was perfect. The atmosphere was like being home with a very friendly crowd. Thanks again to Billy and Luke for making us feel like we were home. Will definitely come back again when the Bills have away game we will party and tailgate with the Bills backers of...
