Wendy's — Restaurant in West Virginia

I frequent this location when traveling and can say most of those the service has been really good. I wanted to point out Caleb who was working the drive-thru today (we came through at 4:48PM) truly was awesome. It’s rare that you come across a fast food employee who isn’t trying to rush you or comes off pushy. He was patient while taking our order which is always a plus especially when driving with a little one who can’t make up their mind and changes at the last second. The part though that was going beyond for what most see as the average mood or personality of a young fast food employee, was the fact that he genuinely asked about our day, talked about the weather and made conversation while taking my payment. He certainly came off as an employee who enjoyed their job. Even my teenage son noticed and made a comment. So awesome job Caleb and continue to keep that...

On my jolly journey through the wonderful state of West Virginia (wink, wink), my girlfriend and I decided to stop for gas and food.

The only place in town that looked like it had lights was Wendy’s. I ordered a baconator because there’s nothing better that 2 patties and 6 strips of bacon - pretty much the America dream in between 2 buttery buns.

Well, my American dream was shattered. When I looked down after a couple of bites into the ‘American dream’, I noticed the burger was pink. Wrapped it up, waited for my girlfriend to finish her freshly made chicken sandwich which didn’t have a heart beat like my burger did.

Made it about 50 miles when I started feeling very sweaty and extremely sick. Had to stop and stay in a dumpy hotel near the highway where I spent the night throwing up so that will be the last time I ever enjoy the American dream.

Walk up and all doors are locked. Call the store. I'm standing there looking at staff and can see one of them say "He's calling here." Only for the phone to connect and be hung up.

I walk around to the drive thru.

"I don't have enough people to run the front."

That's the reply I got when I asked to come in and order because we are in a 10ft tall ambulance.

"Oh, so I can stand out here in the cold and rain?"

My reply.

Well, my patient and his wife got their food. My driver got his. He came to see what the issue was and that's him in the photo.

But Wendy's won't get a penny more than that. I'll eat the peanut butter crackers that have been in my bag for a month before they make more...
