Ordered Red Wine and Vodka Martini to start off which means no matter what happens the night is still going to be A-Okay. Chef came out offered to turn the fireplace on which was nice and helped warm up the slightly chilly section we sat in.
Appetizer bruschetta - Thick crusty Italian Bread with nice fresh beefsteak tomatoes servered over what I believe was a pesto, topped with fresh Mozzarella, basil and a drizzle of balsamic reduction. Size perfect appetizer split for two and seasoned nicely not to much balsamic just a simple dish done very well.
Entree's Veal Saltimbocca pounded think topped with prosciutto and melted mozzarella served in a mushroom demi glaze and comes with smashed potatoes and broccoli. Veal was tender sauce was good. Usually Saltimbocca's are salty because the prosciutto and the seasoning but this dish was seasoned just right. Potatoes were terrible and Broccoli seamed like an afterthought. I recommend you get this dish over pasta instead.
Entree Lemon Butter Scallops. Pan Seared Sea Scallops 6-8 of them over angelhair pasta in a lemon butter sauce with I believe ricotta cheese. Pasta wasn't drenched or swimming in sauce and the scallops were out of this world. I have never had a scallop cooked so perfectly in my life. Gordon Ramsay would of been proud lol.
Dessert Tiramisu- By the look of the dessert it was very light in color I personally was expecting it to be awful coming from an Italian family I eat alot of it. It didn't seem like it was soaked in enough coffee liquor, boy was I wrong the flavor was spot on. It wasn't oversoaked it was the perfect cake like texture served with a scoop of marscapone cheese which was an extra added bonus.
Service was good specials were read nicely table was marked for each course and he was attentive but not overbearing. Great option to try! Our bill for 2 people was 110$ before tip so definitely isn't your cheapest option but definitely worth it, that being said that's 3 courses and two cocktails so I mean that bill is to...
Read moreIt had a nice decor but beyond that, unimpressive. We had ordered the Italian egg rolls, scallops florentine, and chicken saltimbocca. The Italian egg roll was supposed to have prosciutto, basil and mozzarella in an egg roll crust. These are then cut in half and served. What we ended up getting was a very small sliver of prosciutto and basil with mozzarella on one side of the cut then all mozzarella on the other. I had complained about it to the server Paul (who by the way was very attentive and professional) who then went to get an older lady with glasses who I presumed was the manager. I initially didn't think this was a big deal but when the manager approached the table in a standoffish manner, and in an aggressive tone explained that when they cut the egg rolls the prosciutto basil shifted to one side of the roll, I felt as if I was being personally attacked for complaining about the food. It was very unprofessional. The scallop florentine lacked flavor. The spinach that was on it tasted as if all they did was steam it then throw it on the scallops, and there was hardly any wine sauce. The chicken saltimbocca was okay. Not terrible, but not mind blowing. It was a little on the bland side, but the chicken wasn't dry, so little complaints. The pasta side was cooked well but the red sauce really didn't have a whole lot of flavors. Olive garden has better sauce than them. Overall I am truely happy that I went here with a gift certificate because the experience I had was very lackluster and unimpressive compared to what they charge for food. Would give one star, but Paul...
Read moreAbsolutely appalling service!! My sister and I arrived at 7:50, restaurant closes at 8:30. My sister ordered Cod Francese, we received our meals at 8:15. She was given chicken francese, not Cod. She told the server Linda, who responded with “you ordered chicken” my sister then said “I ordered cod” Linda then said “you ordered chicken, kitchen is closed we cannot remake anything” She then proceeded to talk about the situation to another person. That person then came over, her name was Mary (apparently manager or owner) she proceeded to insist my sister ordered chicken. My sister then told her she was not going to eat or pay for the wrong meal. Mary’s response was “I don’t eat out often but when I do I try to be relaxed” WTH does that even mean. Note- If a customer receives a meal they didn’t order, how about you apologize and take it off the bill, as any other restaurant would do. Still shocked as to the rude, unprofessional, inappropriate treatment we received over an error the server made!! We will NEVER set foot in this establishment ever again. We will also make sure to share this experience with everyone we know. Do better, mistakes happen, apologize and own up to it. Simply put treat others the way you want to...
