STOPPED DELIVERING, GOT HUNG UP ON, REFUSED TO LET ME SPEAK TO THE MANAGER, and WOULD NOT PROVIDE A NAME. Let me start by saying this is not an attack on the food at this place, we really like it (that's why we've been going back) and up until tonight had no issues. But what happened tonight is unacceptable. We have been ordering from here for the last few months. We are new to the area and really like the food, the fast delivery, and the service...until tonight. We called like any other night for delivery and the person took our address and then told us she won't deliver to us- when asked why, she said 'because of the virus' so I asked have they changed the areas that they deliver to (we, too live in West Warwick) and she flippantly said yes. But I ordered from them last Thursday and they delivered to us. We would've picked it up if there was some logical reason about the subjective shift but I wasn't allowed to speak to anyone beyond the person who would not share her name. I asked to speak to someone in charge because she couldn't explain to me the 'new guidelines' so she put me on hold..and then about 3 seconds later hung up on me.I called back and she said 'he's busy he won't be available for an hour or two hours.' And I said, I'm only trying to figure out what changed between this week and last week. I asked for her name and she said 'we aren't allowed to give out naked out.' So I am unable to speak to the manager and I am not able to address the extremely rude person that answered the phone, hung up on me, and refused to let me speak to anyone. We love this place, but what happened tonight is unacceptable. I've never had this experience here.
Before posting this I called back and said to the customer service person that I am going to leave a review about this interaction and am trying to call out of courtesy to once again speak to the manager or person in charge and she would not let me and still did not provide a...

Read moreI have to share a famous pizza experience. First of all, their pizza is always awesome. Last Friday night I went to Famous Pizza. I called ahead planning to eat inside. As always, it was very busy with take out. As my son and I waited, I realized that we were running short on time and would have to have it as take out. I waited much longer than was originally told and became frustrated. When my pizza and French fries were finally ready, I was visibly frustrated and explained to the person handing me the pizza that the amount of time I waited for the pizza was ridiculous. As my son and I got into the car, we dove into the pizza and fries. The pizza was warm but clearly did not just come out of the oven. As I drove home I could feel my frustration building. AND that's when it turned around. My caller ID flashed Famous Pizza calling. I spoke with Lou(?) who explained that he could see that I was a regular customer and was frustrated. He went on to say that they take a lot of pride in their business, and although very busy on weekends, they do not like to see an unhappy customer. He told me that I would be credited for my purchase as well as a credit on my phone number for a future order. I was so taken back that "I" did not have to call and complain to get this done, they took it upon themselves. Rarely seen these days where a lot of businesses only care about the $$$.
