Ordered a chicken parm sub . Asked for extra marinara and to add mozzarella cheese. Not only did they charge 2 dollars for extra sauce and cheese .. (which btw there was NO extra sauce on it when received) they gave me the r mozzarella cheese in a side cup. I noticed this when I got half way home and I turned around and went back because I just spend 20 dollars on 2 menu items , I refused to go home and have to heat up my OWN sandwich . Not only when I was there the girl who took my order got everything I asked for on the side wrong . I needed a side of jalepenos and hot pepper relish . There was no hot pepper relish and just jalepenos . I asked before I had left if they were in the bag and she said yes . I decided to check before I left . NOPE not in the bag . Didn’t even check didn’t even look . Nothing . They were on the counter in a different bag all along . Then when I came back the second time for them to heat my sandwich I said can u please heat this for me so I don’t have to go home and do this I ordered for that reason!!!!! And please put extra sauce on it Still didn’t have my hot pepper relish I asked for a side of an I asked for it yet again . Finally get a side of it an leave . Get all the way home … my chicken parm grinder is covered in hot pepper relish . I only specified my order on the phone but also about 50 times while I was there .hot pepper relish and jalepenos on the side!!! Must have been too much to ask . I then at this point had enough the sandwich is awful , not to mention they took the sandwich to reheat and they returned it to me as if they just took it out of a garbage can as if it was my fault that they have someone working there that doesn’t not know how to take orders . Then when I came back for my refund . The girl who took the order had the mordacity to sit behind the corner and smile as if it was funny that she just completely ruined my dinner and put me in and awful mood at this point . I let her keep her tip for the excellent service . Been getting papa Gino’s for 40 years and no I AM Never...
Read moreReview dated 12/20/23. Not sure what has changed with this restaurant, but my recent attempts to call in a phone order have been met with incompetence and rudeness. Tonight the man I spoke with told me that the online coupon code I gave him "was not gonna happen", and asked me to read what the coupon said to him. I told him it was for 20% off, and it was good until 12/21/23. He then asked "what else does it say?" I told him I was on my phone and didn't have it in front of me. Thinking about it afterwards, I'm pretty sure he wanted me to read that it was for "online orders", so he could tell me that's why it wasn't working. And if that was the case, he could have just told me that they would no longer be honoring those coupons for call in orders as they always have in past years. There was no need to be rude. His attitude irritated me, and I asked him what was going on there, because the last time I called in an order, I spoke to an idiot who also had a problem with the coupon code I gave him, told me they were very busy and wanted me to stay on hold for 10 minutes. Who are they hiring there, and who is responsible for training them? Not my problem, because I'm done with this Papa Gino's. Found a great deli about a mile away with better food and service; Wise Guys Deli on Cowesett Avenue....
Read moreWe have gotten take out pizza from this location many times, always without any problem. This evening, however, was a different story. After waiting for a while past the expected delivery time, I called and spoke with Aiden. He found that there was a problem with my phone number so the driver returned my order to the store. As it had been sitting there a while, Aiden had the order remade and sent out for delivery. Once again, after waiting past the delivery time, I called Aiden again. His shock and disappointment that I had not received the order was very evident, even over the phone. He even offered to have the order remade and deliver it himself. While we were still on the phone, i decided to look outside. There was the pizza, on a chair by the front door. I told this to Aiden, and he couldn't understand why the driver did that. Both times, Aiden handled the situation professionally, with the goal of satisfying the customer. What could have been an "I'm not ordering from there anymore" situation, turned into an example of what superior customer service is. Thank you,...
