Fillin' Station Bar and Grill — Restaurant in West

1st time customer. Visited to get a lunch to go. Upon arriving I noticed signs at front designating Motorcycle Parking. But I could NOT find A SIGN Anywhere on the property designating HANDICAPPED Parking. I parked at the closest empty spot available and walked in. At the bar, I asked the waitress about the designated parking situation to which she did not know BUT went to ask the owner. After a few minutes, SHE came back & said there IS a handicap ramp and someone HANDICAPPED could park at ANY open space available. ( duh ). SO that being addressed, I ordered the Daily Lunch Special for $8.95 ( ALL the Lunch Specials are the same price ). I got the grilled fish with corn & cold slaw. I also ordered a desert ( peach cobbler ) which cost extra. The food I ate was above average. Prepared as ordered. So I will be a returning customer IF I can find a parking place CLOSE ENOUGH where I Don't have to walk far to the door OR trip over the motorcycles AT the...

Let's talk about all the good things. First of all, the food. Yes, the Fillin' Station is a bar and grill, but they really don't overlook the grill side of the house. The menu is full of appetizer options and a wide variety of all of the traditional American classics like burgers, sandwiches, chicken, chicken fried steak, and steaks. My work partner raved about the baked potato filled with grilled chicken and grilled onions. My chicken strips were significantly better than most places as were my fries and tots. Further, everything was well-seasoned.

The owners and staff are beyond friendly and super accommodating.

Right now, I'd say the best dining option in West (aside from kolaches) is coming from the kitchen of this "Bar and Grill."

What a great find! On Monday July 29th, myself and two other coworkers were on our way back to Fort Worth on a business field trip. One man from our party found this place and made the recommendation. All three of us really enjoyed it. We all ordered the chicken fried steak lunch special. I thought it was really well cooked. The breading to meat thickness was right on, and not just dripping in grease. The gravy was perfect, as were the sides. I personally would put this CFS in my top 5 all time choices. The restaurant was not terribly crowded, and we got fantastic service. She was polite and friendly and our tea never went empty.
