This is a place we try to go to at least once per week. Always clean inside. Food is great. Personal preference is the Arroz Con Pollo. But the biggest treat here is the service. It's not uncommon to have all the waiters and manager to come by your table just to say hello and how are you doing. There is virtually no turnover in the waiter staff. Roberto was the last new waiter hired and he has been there for about 2 years. Orders are always delivered piping hot. Waiters take turns to come by and ask if everything is good and do you need anything else. Service here is like no other including some 5 star restaurants we have been to. When you need something you don't hear them says "I'll tell your waiter" they just go take care of it. One and done. Move on to the next guest. Most restaurant waiters are trained to ask several tables then try to go get everything requested and hopefully within 10 minutes or so you get what you asked for. They are fully staffed to handle capacity crowds. Over the past years, we have never waited to be seated more than a couple of minutes. And that only happens once a year. Catch them with 3 or more tables empty and you will see the level of service like no other. There is a drive thru here that is well used, but we...
Read moreThey are back! I live in Westlake, La and I am proud to say the renovations are complete. Since the old building was the old go to Mexican food option. I decided it was time to bring the family for dinner. The waitstaff greeted us at the door with a smile. The waitstaff functioned as though they were a well-oiled machine- 1st they brought out waters- For me this is a must that water be provided first (think about it hot salsa with no way to quench your thirst!), 2nd the chips and salsa, 3rd the ordered drinks, 4th the ordered appetizer(s), and 5th the entrée/dinner food. Please note there were several waiters/waitresses involved throughout the experience, and each of them communicated our requests to the waitstaff involved- We never had to ask twice for an item!
I must be honest my favorite is normally the guacamole, but I found their guacamole needs a little improvement- possibly a slight bit more lime juice and salt- If you are trying to decide between the Guacamole or Queso, pick the Queso! I could not be any happier with my dinning experience. All members of my party enjoyed their entrée’s and requested we...
Read moreBetter than expected and I expected it to be good based on the 43 Google rating. I sat at the bar. Bar was kind of built high and the stools are a little short, so it makes for an interesting setting. Walmart fajitas arrived, I stood up to look over them and before I knew it I had employees wanting to help me move to a bar. They weren't trying to bother me, but I didn't mind having to stand up and they just were really worried that I was uncomfortable. It was nice to see how much they cared. The food was really good. The portion was perfect for the price and I even had a margarita on the rocks. The bartender was very friendly, interesting and intelligent. We talked about economics, what a tapatio is and current affairs of Mexico. A tapatio is someone from Guadalajara and that's where they are from. I was googling it and when my food arrived, it looked just like an image I was viewing of typical Guadalajara food. That's definitely El Tapatio food there! I hope im around...
