!!!!!!IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS, I WOULD!!!!!
We had called your hotel the morning of September 7th to book a reservation for later that evening. On the phone we were told the total would be around $115 to which we agreed. Later when we went to check in, we were told that the total would be $206. This made no sense to us as multiple online booking websites showed a 2 bed room at your hotel for $93 a night. We alerted the front desk attendant of this and she called the manager to see if they could honor that price. The manager agreed and then we checked in.
We were given room 108 on the first floor and as soon as we walked in, the room reeked of mold. This alone was a huge environmental concern for myself and my family as I am 20 weeks pregnant. Besides the horrendous smell, there was also rust all over the bathroom lighting and toilet paper rolls, the baseboards in the bathroom were cracked and seemed to be coming off the wall, there was black spots that appeared to be mold in the grouting of the shower, the wall mounted AC unit was rusty inside and blowing that moldy smell everywhere, there was stains on the walls near the bed, and water damage in the ceiling. This room was ABSOLUTELY NOT UP TO STANDARD. So we decided that we were not going to be staying there and went to the front desk to receive a refund and check out.
When we went to the front desk the attendant offered to switch our room but we refused and stated that we just wanted a refund and to leave. As I am active duty military traveling on military orders, the hotel was booked on my military travel card. Meaning I am given a certain amount per day to spend on lodging. The attendant told me that the manager was not in and no one was there to help assist in getting a refund for us. So I requested they called the manager and the attendant stated that the manager said to just leave a note that he would get to it in the morning. Well the issue with that is, if I didnât receive a refund on my military travel card, I would not have any money to stay anywhere else for that evening as I had already reached my limit. This was absolutely unacceptable. We requested to speak to the manager ourselves multiple times and the attendant told us that the manager wasnât answering the phone anymore. The attendant told us that she called and texted the manager multiple times and still couldnât get ahold of him. The attendant also stated that he left work at 3pm and was now busy where as the next attendant that spoke to us told us that the manager was off today entirely. So now it appears the staff lies to customers. We asked for an assistant manager to which we were told that there isnât one. We pointed to the sign on the well that says âmanager on dutyâ and asked who that is and the attendant said âI donât know anything about thatâ.
I am absolutely appalled and disgusted that this is how your business treats pregnant women and service members. Attached you will find a picture of the note I left for the manager since he refused to speak with me on the phone or to come in to...
Read moreThe worst hotel! We stayed in this hotel and it was under construction. The king room we stayed in was clean so it gets 1 star. We asked Lynette if she could extend our stay another night and she said we had to wait until the next shift employee came in. Tammy came in and we asked her to extend our stay and she told me that she could but she had to put us in a double queen room because the king we were in was reserved. I told her that was fine and we would change over to the new room when it was time to check out. She stated that was fine. Tammy then called me a little while later and said we could stay in that king room then asked me to come get some clean towels from the front desk. I told her I would be right down there. Tammy then called me back again and asked me to wait 30 minutes to come get the towels and I said I would. I walked down to the front desk after 30 minutes to get the towels and she informed me that we needed to leave immediately because they had no rooms available. She said all of the rooms were booked up. Tammy put me and my handicapped fiance' on the street with no place to go. We had to get a room at the Golden Nugget for 250.00 that we didn't plan on spending. Upon check out I told Tammy how unprofessional she and Lynette were. Tammy had to call her supervisor to find out that they had no available rooms. Neither her nor Lynette could figure out the computer system. I told Tammy that I was reporting her, Lynette and the hotel to Wyndham. She then told me that all we wanted was a free room! We are 4 stays away from being platinum members with Wyndham Rewards and have never been treated like this. Worst hotel and staff I have ever experienced! Don't waste your money. Tammy stayed outside smoking in front of the hotel while on her shift. The hotel manager did nothing about it when I contacted him. Apparently Wyndham has lowered its standards and customer satisfaction has fallen off of the...
Read moreWhere do I begin? Let's start with the smell when I entered the room, a lovely stale/musky smell as if the room had been closed up for some time. The room must have not been prepped because there was no wash clothes, only 2 towels that looked (and felt like) they had been used quite a bit, the shower floor had a vaseline feel to it while showering, the shower nozzle spary so needed to be replaced, the settings to allow a descent spay of water where you can accomplish a sense of successful rinse was accomplished only to how I could angle my body from one jet that had enough pressure to obtain a rinse that was almost laughable. There were stains on the furniture, a curtain rod was missing to pull the curtains close, and the toilet paper was almost out in one of the two rolls and even the other roll of toilet paper was a good 1/4 of the way used. Were it not for me arriving so late, had my belongings already in the room and being exhausted from driving for the past 5 hours thru a white-out rain storm that went from the far west side of Houston to St. Chales and beyond eastward, I would have requested my original reservation back. (originally, I had reserved a double queen room because it was the only room left to reserve when I booked it, but the receptionist asked if I would like to switch to take the King size bed on the first floor, which at the time I thought was a good idea with no elevator time) The complimentary breakfast left a lot to be desired, the eggs were watery, only plain and wheat bagels, no bacon just sausage, no cranberry just apple or orange juice. I told the checkout receptionist about my disappointment comparing it to the La Quinta that I had stayed the prior night in over in Stockton, TX which (((blew))) this La Quinta out of the water in fresh and clean accommodations and I paid LESS for the room in Stockton than i did here which shows you how tired and desperate I was to settle for what I...
