Hippo Loco — Restaurant in Westminster

Been a long time customer. What a shame this place is now on my black list. After waiting in line for some time, I saw a table open up after two people left to grab their drinks when called and exited the building so I went to go sit while my party continues to waits in line. Not even a minute passes and one of the guys behind the counter comes up to me and tells me the table is reserved. Then a group of 4 people that definitely were not in front immediately sits at my table as I left. Needless to say we left without ordering. Never had this happen, ever, at any establishment. I've patronized this place many times and have advertised it to friends and family but now I'm sure you don't need my business - taking it elsewhere and will let people know how you treat your customers. You shouldn't kick people out like that because you got your friends or family coming...

This place got pretty popular on Vietnamese TikTok because of their spicy noodles, so I decided to check it out. The food was decent — not amazing, but not bad either.

What really disappointed me, though, was the service. The staff definitely need better training. When it comes to spicy noodles, they should recommend the spice level or at least ask the customer, but they didn’t. I ordered level 3 spicy noodles, and it tasted like pure chili — way too spicy to enjoy. On top of that, the server brought the wrong dish and even mixed up tables, which made things feel really unorganized.

super delicious boba, tea and ramen...we lived in sacramento travel down to OC for 3 days disneyland... we love boba and had tried 4 spots everything the same, however this is the best spot we had so far, the shop was busy when we got there and the staff are super friendly...we ordered 7 drinks and 3 spicy ramens...boba brown sugar, coconut coffee, salted plume ice tea, Thai green tea, peach ice tea, strawberry ice tea, and pandan oolong chia. and I'm telling u guys this is super delicious it is not too sweet and it hit at the right spot on all drinks and don't get me started with ramen it's the best I ever...
