me and my friends go here all the time. we love going there. we all have our own skates, but the skate rental is affordable, and they have some really good snacks. if u go get a polar ice chill its really really good, and me and my friends are teenagers and we feel safe being there, dont be worried about sending ur kids alone with their friends, and if u skate allot get your own skates. the staff is supper nice but sometimes two of the girls that work the snack bar are not very helpful. iI LOVE THIS PLACE...

I’m still in disbelief at how rude the staff at this place is. We came here tonight for a school fundraiser that was taking place from 6pm-8pm. We got here at 7pm because my husband has a far drive for work plus we have 2 under 2 along with our oldest. We had to look for parking since the parking lot was full, by the time we got to the window to buy our tickets it was 7:10pm. From a distance we could see someone at the window but they left right before we walked up, I rang the bell they had and called out to them a couple times and no one showed up, a blonde lady walked past the window and saw us but didn’t even acknowledge us. Finally some other lady comes up to the window so I let her know that we are there for the school fundraiser, she points out that there’s only 40 minutes left so I answered yeah well we’ve been waiting by the window for a while. She then responds, you’ve been there like 3 minutes, meaning they knew we were standing there yet never even took the time to say that they would be with us in a minute. So then the blonde lady peeks out from the door and says yeah there’s only 40 minutes left, which we were well aware of and we’re still willing to pay for. So I turned to my husband and let him know what was happening since he’s a Spanish speaker and we decided to leave. As we were turning to leave the blonde tells my middle child oh maybe next time you’ll get to skate. Yeah, there won’t be a next time. There's always fun to be had at this roller skating rink. It's a very large roller skating rink but plenty of room for all the people who come to enjoy wait around and around in circles. There are two drawbacks to going skating rink though. 1, the line is very long meaning of the times we go and we lose a good half an hour to 45 minutes waiting in line to get in. You're not compensated for this time you just get a shorter time skate. I for one don't think that's fair. 2, when you finally do get in, there is so many games, birthday parties and other events they have going that you have a limited time to actually skate. Since you're paying $9.50 to get in, I question whether the price is worth it. I was actually getting to skate for two and a half hours that would be a different situation. As it was I had about an hour once I got skates on and made it through the crowd to the skating rink. Will I be back? Yes there's not that many skating rinks open anymore. Do I think they need better control for how long it takes people to get in? Yes! They have two windows. There's no reason why both of them can't be working when there's long lines. There was a lot more to do at fountain valley than just stated. There's also a pretty nice little snacky restaurant and a game room. Their bathrooms are reasonably clean oh, and they got it a few more tables for those who would like a place to sit down.
