NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. HORRIBLE SERVICE. RUDE OWNER. DIRTY STORE. LOTS OF SMOKING. If there was a ranking of zero star, I would rate it. They were later on my order for a birthday cake and offered no service recovery. The owner who was also the store manager, refused to talk to me to explain or apologize. She passed the phone to her worker, a young guy, and walked away from me when I questioned why my order was late. The own, middle aged woman, never smiled to me regardless how many times I came to order cake sand she personally took the orders. The last time I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter. I requested to pick it up at 4:00 pm on Thursday. I later called back to change the pick up time to next Friday's morning. The guy named Thomas answered the phone. He said he couldn't find the order slip, but would tell the kitchen. He wrote down my phone number and said he would call me back within that day to confirm the change order. I received no phone call from Lily's Bakery to confirm. On Friday's morning at 11:00 am, my husband came to pick up the cake. The store told him the cake was not ready as they ran of some ingredients. They said it would be ready in 2 hours. I called and asked to speak with the owner. I was told she would be in later, but the cake would be ready in one hour. After one hour, I called the store. The owner answered the phone. I questioned her about the late order. She immediately passed the phone to the guy Thomas "Thomas, come and explain to her." said the owner. Then, she walked away. "The owner is busy and she has just left to somewhere." said Thomas. These people have no decency of how to at least to hear their customers out. I will tell my friends and family not to do any business with Lily's...

Was spending the day in the general OC area & intended to get my favorite Vietnamese Coffee at Yummy Bakery but decided to try a new place since it was more local to where lunch was.

ITEM'S ORDERED:

Debated on getting some baked goods to try but me & the gf were going to Brodards so I just got the Vietnamese Coffee as I had planned.

TASTE:

The coffee had a pretty good strength which is what I always like. But it still seemed to be lacking some of that nice depth I love in a good dark roast coffee. I feel this could of been because they dripped the coffee too fast or maybe just the type of coffee bean they use. In any case it was not my favorite but also not terrible by any means & I imagine many people would be happy with this coffee.

The sweetness was pretty light which is what I like so that worked out well. The ice was not crushed ice which is my favorite so that was a little bit of a letdown if I'm being petty.

SERVICE & PARKING:

Service was fine especially since they were so busy on Saturday. We ordered pretty much ASAP when we walked in & the coffee was ready quite quickly.

Parking was easy & we parked right in front of the place. There's a pretty big lot providing parking to all the businesses in this larger shopping plaza. Be careful driving since it's quite busy here with cars entering/exiting because of all the businesses. This place is located in Little Saigon Village right in the front.

Since I didn't really care for the coffee I probably wouldn't return for it but I'm not opposed to trying some baked goods since the place seems...

Lily's fruit cakes have gotten so bad that I cannot believe it. I can't even finish it after just one bite. I just bought an 8" fruit cake on Sunday 12/17/23 for 37$ but nothing was good about it. I ended up apologizing to the birthday person I bought the cake for. I felt so embarrassed and what a waste of money!

I don't know what corners Lily's bakery tried to cut but their fruit cakes definitely don't taste the same as they used to any more. I don't know why they changed the ingredients, but their quality is no longer there to ever warrant another purchase. All the fruits they used except strawberries and kiwis were canned fruits. Even the real fruits didn't taste good. I used to love the crunchy crust inside the cake, but it is not what it used to be either. It tasted harder and drier than before and it has no taste whatsoever. The spongy part of the cake is also tasteless. The frosting tastes oilier than before too. All in all, this is the last time I will ever buy from Lily's bakery! For years I have always bought from them. It was already changing to bad a few years back, but it is getting worse now. Even the cream they used to write the Happy Birthday wish looked all wrinkly by the next morning when we took pictures of the cake!

No more Lily's bakery...

I stopped by Lily’s Bakery in Westminster and was really impressed. I tried two different pastries – one filled with chicken and one with coconut – and both were absolutely amazing. The pastry itself was golden, crispy, and flaky, with that perfect balance of texture and flavor. The chicken one was savory and rich, while the coconut one had a slightly sweet, creamy taste that was just as satisfying. I also ordered a passion fruit drink, which was refreshing and naturally sweet, a perfect match with the pastries. The shop feels like a hidden gem, offering not only these unique pastries but also cakes with a bit of an Australian touch. On top of that, the service was very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area – it’s one of those bakeries that makes you glad you found it.

Got their banh mi dac biet which was really good. 5 stars for the sandwich and 5 stars for the service as the cashier spoke English, was super nice, and also offered a free pastry. The 4 star is because there were non-food eating customers in there not wearing masks, constantly going to the counter lottery checking machine back and forth, etc. The workers didn't seem to care. They need to care for the safety of all customers. Back to the sandwich. It was $6.00 flat. As you'll see in the pictures, the sandwich is not big but the amount of meat is very good. I liked the fact that the bread was small..as in thin small. Too much bread sucks. They used pate and american mayo. I didn't mind the american mayo but would prefer the viet style mayo. Overall it was a dank sandwich.
