UNU Cafe — Restaurant in Westminster

Today I ordered 5 portions of Thai sweet soup $6.50/portion and added durian segments for each portion for $4 The total bill I paid online was $58.14 Then my sister was on the way to pick up, then I received a call from the shop saying that they ran out of durian segments, but would add 1 more scoop of durian for $1/portion. The shop said they would refund me $3 per portion when I picked up. I agreed, and when my sister picked up, I also received a message to refund $15. But my sister is picky, so she asked "When I bought, the tax was 10.75%, will you refund the tax?" Then the staff said "ok, the tax is ONLY $1.6 so I'll give you $2, that is OKkkk” At that time, I was in trouble. When I got home, I opened the bowl of sweet soup and there was no durian. I was still angry about the $2, so I called the shop to complain about why they charged me but didn't have it. Then the little girl gently said, “Let me check, sis.” At this point, I also calmed down and felt comforted. It’s over… not yet, I heard the other side of the phone say, “Yes, you left out the durian, she is tricking you”… Oh, hello, I’m still on the phone. Then the little girl panicked and hung up. A little later, I received a $7 refund for the incident of no durian. At this point, I felt calm, there was nothing to discuss or be angry about, right? I gathered all the sweet soup, traveled thousands of miles, turned around, went back to the store and gave them 5 boxes of sweet soup. Heads up for those who would like to come here be prepared to find parking, The parking lot is always full unfortunately. The store is neat and clean everyone is friendly here. I have had their kumquat drink which is so delicious and their guayabana drink as well. So delicious. I came in for their buckets. Took my friend from San Fran and she and I were so excited for 15 dollars a big container and you get to choose your jelly's for your drink. Totally worth it. Different flavors. I really enjoyed it so much. Some of the jelly toppings were too cute to eat. They have variety of Vietnamese snacks, and fruits available as well. If your planning on having a cute date to sit and enjoy your drink you might wanna reconsider. This spot is a one stop shop. You come in and go. I ordered the Pineapple Tamarind and Coco Delight . The Pineapple Tamarind was a bit too sweet for my taste, so I ended up pouring it into two other cups to save some for later. However, I really enjoyed the tamarind seeds — they tasted great. The peanuts added a nice nutty flavor, but if you’re allergic to nuts, this might not be the best choice for you. The Coco Delight wasn’t too sweet, which I appreciated, but overall, it didn’t have anything particularly standout. The place also offers some nostalgic snacks that might remind you of your childhood if you grew up in Vietnam. They also have a variety of toppings for milk tea.
