Took my nieces for ice cream today as Iām not always able to take them out as much as Iād like too. Was unfortunate that there was not much ice cream available because they were cleaning & left us with very few options. As a business owner I understand how important it is to treat customers with at least a small bit of enthusiasm & a smile can go a long way. Along with very solid āno, we donāt have thatā answers the staff seemed very annoyed to be there to take care of customers which made it feel very uneasy & unwelcome at this establishment. Itās understandable to have tough or bad days but when you are in the service industry a smile can go a long way. The fact that they put the ice cream selections back in soon after we received our orders along with the apparent lack of staff giving off a sort of unwelcome energy made for a very morbid visit to this Baskin Robbins as everyone there gave off the feeling that they did not want to be there. It could have been a simple but slightly enthusiastic āHi, how can I help you?ā with an inkling of a smile especially when you are about to say no we donāt have that when you actually did a few minutes later could have made the difference in someoneās day including your own. I normally donāt leave reviews like this but I just wanted to express how sad it is to have simple common interactions with establishments & consumers to go so negatively when it only takes simple things to remedy the situations even if it is a āslightā inconvenience. It makes it appear as if they do not like to have customers & that doesnāt bode well for any business establishment. I wouldāve ordered more to support the establishment & would even travel much further for a much better experience. With a rude response lacking empathy from the worker she told us that they are no longer serving ice cream and are only serving hot coffee for the night as it says open 24 hours! As we pull around after being denied service for ice cream there are people inside reviving scoops of ice cream! Now I donāt know if the Diabetic club had a meeting inside (average BMI inside was ~35) or what but this place should have a meeting about how to treat customers. But if you go inside 4 people are working the drive thru and only one for people walking in. Ive kept going here only because of the convenience. Yesterday was my last straw.
