Walsh's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Westmont

Great local bar. Dark, as this kind of bar should be. Go there a couple times and they will recognize you which is nice. Affordable beer specials, a decent selection of micro brews too. Enough seating, even at peak times you don't need to wait for a seat. I love their kitchen - they have a smallish menu but do excel at everything they try - I'll take that over a huge menu of average reheated food service products any day. They don't have a deep fryer but would you believe me if I said you don't miss it?

Their pockets are the best, I'd consider it their signature dish because I don't know any other places around who make those. Think like a veggie pocket that comes wrapped in a burrito wrapper, but with your choice of meat and and fillings,...

Been coming to Walsh's for a while with dental school friends. Never had a problem until tonight until the lady at the bar, rudely, told us they don't accept out of state ID's. There is a medical professions college minutes from the restaurant that brings in thousands of out of state students. Unfortunate that they turned us away being ignorant to the fact that this college brings in thousands of potential customers. Seems like a terrible business model.
