We were in the area to have dinner and honestly were going to the neighboring restaurant and it seemed empty so we went to this Italian place without any plan. As soon as we sat down we were served bread which was so good that we ordered another one just to have it with their olive oil and cheese and it was absolutely delicious. As we came in the front desk person was very happy and gave us a smile which felt very genuine and got us a table quick. The place looks kinda vintage Italian and cozy with a charming slightly old world vibe. Our waiter who had started a week back was very polite and helpful. We started off with our drinks, an Old Fashioned and a Manhattan. The Old Fashioned was less sweet so we requested an update and they were quick to add sweetness to the drink. Based on the recommendation of our server we ordered the banana peppers stuffed with smoked mozzarella, Italian sausage, tomato sauce, and cheese topping. This was by far the best Italian appetizer we have had, it was very flavorful and spicy. Loved it. For our main course again the server suggested the lobster crab ravioli and the Bucatini Westmont. My wife loved the ravioli and I did like the Bucatini, just that I felt it was not cooked to my needs, but the flavor was excellent. We also ordered a side of the beef meatball and it was heaven, so so good. Based on all the food and the recommendation we decided to have dessert as well. Similar to the other foods we asked the server and he suggested we have the double chocolate cake which was dark chocolate. We were sold and it was again the best dessert we had, truly amazing. We will...

Very poor pasta, abysmal service. Ordered for appetizers: Truffle burrata ( no truffle flavor at all ), bacon wrapped dates ( mediocre...sauce that accompanied it made no sense and conflicted with the flavors ). Entrees were 2 ravioli dishes. Filet and lobster. The Ravioli pasta on one dish was so thick and undercooked we sent it back. It returned and I can't believe it left the kitchen. The top portion of the ravioli was so over boiled every one had split and filled with hot water. The bottom was super thick and still undercooked in some places. I ordered a moderately expensive bottle of wine ( $66 ). The waiter brought out the wrong bottle then tried to convince me to drink it when it was completely different from what I wanted. The waiter had no idea whatsoever about wine. I insisted on the original bottle (which should have never been an issue) and he finally brought it. He tried to give me a line of B.S. about how it 'was the same but cheaper'. I have no idea what was going on in this person's head but they need to realize their clientele aren't stupid. It was insulting to be honest. No initial taste, no bottle presentation just two filled glasses. No refills, no clearing plates, no checking on us. I had to walk up to the manager to get service. I arrived at 6pm and it was not busy. I feel sorry for the owner. It's clear they are having a difficult time getting good cooks and wait staff. Will not return...

I have nothing but compliments for this wonderful establishment! My fiancé and I went out to dinner last night and had a taste for authentic Italian. I found this place online and read nothing but wonderful reviews about the food, and service. Located in downtown Westmont. Parking was so easy (right across the street), and from the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. The manager Sergio greeted us with a huge smile, sat us, and told us a little about the restaurant. Our server Alysa was nothing short of amazing, knowledgeable, and gave us wonderful recommendations. We felt like family! All of the food is made in house, pastas, sauces, and even the wine and desserts! You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and tell that every single person puts so much care into making sure every customer is happy. The whole experience was wonderful, and it’s so nice to see small (not chain restaurants) are thriving. It’s been a long time since we had an experience like this at a restaurant and we appreciate their hospitality! I think we found our new date night spot! We will be back!! OFTEN! If I could give 10 stars I would!...

Taurasi is a charming Southern Italian gem in downtown Westmont. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the owner. Our server, Owen, was knowledgeable, efficient, and welcoming, enhancing our dining experience. We started with a Caesar salad, which was perfectly dressed in a savory, slightly lemony dressing. The fresh cheese added a wonderful richness. For our entrées, I had the Cacio e Pepe with meatballs, which was rich and absolutely delicious, while my husband enjoyed the lasagna, which had a delightful hint of spice. The homemade pasta in both dishes was outstanding. Everything was incredibly flavorful, and we can’t wait to return!
