Thank you again Fratellis! —— Fratelli’s saved the day by taking my custom cake order with only a couple days notice after a very negative experience at another bakery. I was unaware that Fratelli’s decorated custom cakes or they would have been my first option- I’m there pretty often for coffee and baked goods. The person who took my order told me they’d check with the decorator about my chess board design request with fondant and called me back within 30 minutes with the decorators confirmation and a quote (a completely reasonable price by the way) I picked up the cake and asked for the Happy Birthday ribbon on the spot by the same girl who took my order over the phone. She was super helpful and I appreciated all of her help.

(I purchased the candles & chess piece cake toppers elsewhere) The cake was beautiful and my dad absolutely loved the perfect fondant chess board! The cake itself was a two layered 9-inch chocolate cake with ganache in-between the layers. Everyone LOVED it! It was so, so good.

Was eager to try Fratelli's in Weymouth after hearing so many good reviews, but found that the pastries left much to be desired. Monkey bar was dry, crumbly. Could've used some sweetened condensed milk to fix that, but I know that's not everyone's jam. Red velvet cupcake was moist, but the frosting tasted like store-bought Pillsbury cream cheese and was WAY too sweet for my liking for a red velvet frosting. Definitely could've used 80% less sugar, and 20% more cream cheese in the frosting. Lemon drop cupcake filling seemed like a sugar-y fake flavored lemon gel, when I was expecting something more like lemon curd. Cupcake itself was completely stale. Cream puff pastry was surprisingly dense, as well as the filling. Solid cannoli shell, filling seemed surprisingly dense for a cannoli but might have been due to product being kept refrigerated. Overall, flavors are meh, quality of pastries is less than average and I was thoroughly disappointed, as I had high hopes for Fratelli's in Weymouth. But I was impressed with their affordability & extremely secure packaging of their pastries. The family always gets cakes from Montilio’s and Fratelli’s. On my son’s first birthday, Montilio’s didn’t have our $405 cake ready as promised (3rd error in 2 weeks). My wife was in their lobby sobbing that the party was ruined and they had no solution at the time but a refund.

I called Fratelli’s to beg for help and let them know she was on the way. The girl on the phone (I think Alana) was super helpful and nice and said she would do everything they can to help. My wife arrived and was still sobbing and showed a picture of what we wanted and the cake decorator (Kim) immediately started making the cake we wanted (for 1/3 of the price).
