I wanted to try something different tonight so I chose La Casa del Sabor Costa Rican restaurant. We brought our own bottle of wine 🍷. We decided to get yuca frita as an appetizer. The sauce was a mixture of sour cream and salt. I definitely didn't try it, but my wife ate it and thought it was a little bit on the salty side. For my main course I ordered the Consado pollo, while my wife got the Casado carne. I thought the little cabbage salad that came with it was absolutely delicious. The beans were different than what I have been accustomed to, but was really good. The pollo was cooked to perfection and I incorporated everything into one pile to eat. It came with sweet plantains, but I wish I had tostones instead. Overall we really liked it here. Just need to keep an eye on the waitresses as we sat there for a while waiting for the bill. Tried calling, they told me I had to speak spanish to order and when I said I didn’t speak spanish she complained on the phone sighing loudly then hung up. Tried calling again asking if we could order something and she hung up on us again!! Basically, if you don’t speak spanish they won’t help you then?
