Curry Express Indian Kitchen — Restaurant in White Hall

What a terrific find near the end of a long road trip. Oh my gosh we will stop here anytime we are near Whitehall/PB. This was some of the best food we have ever had, anywhere. All authentic, all cooked from scratch. They toast their own spices, no cans or packets off the shelf.

The food was beautifully presented and you could tell lovingly prepared. Great knife skills on the veggies with my tandoori shrimp. Spice level was good, not overpowering and definitely not bland.

It came out of the kitchen in a glorious fragrant cloud of steam, still sizzling on the cast iron. The rice was cooked to perfection- individual fluffy grains that were still tender and still moist. The naan was both crisp and tender - delicious.

If you are not eating here, you are missing out. Looks like a generous buffet during the day and nice sit down service and menu in the evening. Cloth napkins, clean table, and a menu full of authentic dishes.

Prices are fair for the quality and quantity of food. Forget that it shares space with a Mobil station. Just...

Absolutely a wonderful experience. If you're not familiar with Indian cuisine, this is a perfect opportunity to do so, at their wonderful buffet. I have not had anything that wasn't delicious. If you are spicy heat sensitive, ask the manager 'Buhni' and he will walk you through the buffet options with a smile, for you to enjoy. Desserts are spectacular and, my family goes here and is NEVER unhappy. My wife is (or was) not very adventurous with food but, she always has a delightful time at Curry Express because the delicious lunch buffet has a very good selection of options. I absolutely LOVE this place! They have some of the best Indian dishes. The chicken tiki masala is superb!!! I could eat at this place 3 meals a day. High quality entrees with good cuts of chicken. The garlic naan bread was phenomenal. I highly recommend this place. Super clean and the staff was really nice. The gentleman who took my order helped me with the pronunciation of a few of the dishes I ordered. Talking to him when he was ringing up our order, he told us where the name of one of the dishes was derived and a little about their culture regarding cooking. Super nice people.
