So disappointed! I love huddle house and I was really craving it but I ended up waiting about one hour and ten minutes and no one even took my order. I left empty handed and disappointed.
I came in and it was packed. It was a busy Saturday and it was filled with families. So I knew there was going to be a long wait. I really didn't mind because I wanted huddle house over anything. I walked in and the waitress was super kind and she told me straight up that there was going to be a 45minute wait because it was so busy. The waitress gave me time to think about it but Ultimately, I decided I wanted to wait for it.
I was chilling and playing on my phone for about 5O minutes. During that time, I noticed that the staff was working super hard. I overheard one cook say that she was supposed to leave at 12 but it was already about 1pm. So the staff works hard and it's not their fault. I also noticed that they had to stop taking orders because they were getting so overwhelmed. After the waiting, I was getting a bit restless and I was starting to think about leaving. I gave them about ten more minutes then decided I was over it. I left, but as I was leaving I noticed another waitress about to take another order for a table that had gotten there about twenty minutes ago. That got to me even more because I was already waiting for so long and I had one other person with me while that table had about six people. They had forgotten all about me and if I wouldn't have left, I would've been there for hours waiting on nothing. They hadn't even taken my order yet . The staff didn't even look in my direction during my wait.
I understand that It got crazy busy so I don't blame staff at all and I know I should've spoken up and said something about how long I was waiting and asked when my order would be taken. I was so nervous about getting in the staff's way that I didn't speak up like I should've. Just some advice if you've read this far. If the parking lot is full, forget about it. Go somewhere else and don't wait for more than an hour. If you do, speak up kindly and ask if your order can be taken. The staff is working hard but when I went, there was a team of four or five and they couldn't handle it. Just beware of Saturday during lunch time. It's crazy busy and it'll be a wait before your order is taken at all. The food is wonderful and the staff is super kind. Maybe I will go back but definitely not Saturdays during lunch.
I recommend this place because of the nice staff and great food but watch out for busy times like lunch and weekends. Try it during more unique times and speak up kindly if you've been waiting and no one has even taken your order. I'll try it again, but at another time on...
Read moreVisited the store to pick up an online order. Stood in the store for about an hour past my pick up time. During my visit I wanted multiple tables get up and leave as the wait staff hadn't even greeted the table yet. When I asked how much longer it would be until my food was prepared the response I received was, "I don't know" and a shoulder shrug. Continued to wait. During this stretch of time I watched a member of wait staff take a gentleman's order, cancel it out, and re-ring it under her employee discount. All the while openly flirting with the man while several to-go orders came up and were left dying on the back table. Of which, those waiting customers go up and left the random pieces of the orders that they had already received sitting on the high bar. Still waiting. Almost every single table was left dirty through the entire hour and 10 mins that I was standing waiting on food. One after one, frustrated customers began to buss dirty tables (reminder, Covid is still a thing and there was cutlery left laying across tables and no sanitizing agent was ever provided by the employees). I attempted to talk to the manager, who finally came out to help the cooks after about 40 mins of watching them try to make it through the 10-15 pending tickets. Not once would she acknowledge my requests, let alone turn around to even acknowledge that I was speaking to her. I finally received my food after watching it sit, dying, on the back table. What I received was wrong, cold, and missing items that were ordered. I contacted the complaint line on Saturday, 10/2. Told that I would get a call from the manager by Monday 10/4. Negative. What I did get was email communication telling me that "had I told her when we spoke..." which was a little confusing because, again, the manager never even made eye contact with me let alone shared actual words. The last communication that I received was on 10/04 with the manager asking me for a copy of my receipt...now radio silence. Reviewing these comments, I am not the only person to experience the same problems. Apparently this is going to be common place with the Huddle House standards as they still have not been addressed. Not real sure what I need to do at this point to be able to get some kind of resolution to...
Read moreTried this location while working in the area. Upon entering there was only 1 other customer in the restaurant besides us. We sat down and it took 10 minutes to be acknowledged. The waitress passed by us 4 times without saying anything. The cook and another waitress was arguing very loudly behind the counter. We were fixing to leave when the waitress finally came to take our drink order. The waitress was friendly once she decided to wait on us. They were out of Pepsi so I made another choice. She took our food order and turned it in. At this point there were 5 other tables with patrons who came in to eat. I wondered how they were going to handle this as us 2 and 1 other was already a struggle for them to handle. We waited approximately 25 minutes for our food order. So we've been here approximately 45 minutes with the delay on waiting on us and waiting on the food. We had to rush to eat because we've nearly exhausted our whole lunch break here. The eggs were very runny, sausage had a bad taste, bacon was cold, grits were clumpy and hard, hash browns had old grease taste, and toast was cold. My coworker got his biscuits and gravy after he was done eating everything else. We were running late to get back to work. He did not get his waffle so he asked for it to be taken off the price. The only options they gave was to eat it there or take it with us. He opted to take it with us since we were running late. The waffle was cold and loaded with strawberries and whip cream when he ordered plain waffle. This place has been marked off of places to eat for us. The restaurant was very dirty. The tables were wiped with greasy rags so there was a film on the tables of grease. The windows were very dirty with fingerprints. The door handle on the exit door a very greasy. Food all on the floors. The return air conditioning vents in the ceiling was covered with dust. This place definitely needs some leadership and probably a visit from the...
