Dave & Amy's — Restaurant in White Lake Charter Township

Someone told us that they had good burgers...so my fiance and I went there at 845pm today. We ordered loaded baked potatoe soup, dave&amy burger and a mac&cheese burger both to be vooked MEDIUM. Our food came out the soup was bleh the potatoes weren't cooked all the way, and my fiance took a bite and I noticed that it was still raw. I cut my burger halfway and noticed mine wss the same. I called over the server that was closest to us and asked to send back our burgers. Then our server came to us and apologized and took them back. She said that the cook is cooking up fresh burgers. My fiance said "Well that's fine thank you" Later on we get out food again this time we noticed that they did not cook us new burgers they threw it back on ths grill. My fiance still gad his bite on his burger and my burger still had the cut that I did when I was making sure it was cooked. Our server came by once asking if all was well we just thought we sgould let it go and enjoy what we have. We tried really hard to enjoy our time but it just didn't feel right being there. The cook was walking around with his black hood up looking at us. Our server was not polite she onlu came by once to refill our drinks. Later we get the bill and it was just disturbing. $31.00... a cup of soup was $4?! On the menu it read $2.99... We were upset and just wanted it all over with. This was our first and unfortunately last time visiting...

Going to tell you a list of all the things that came from my experience and you can decide for yourself if you would like this dining experience:

1. Entered and got seated, waitress brought us water and leaves.
2. Another set of diners enter and immediately get their order in.
3. Waitress comes back over 20 minutes later, says take out was holding her up as I watched her chat with other diners and waitresses.
4. Order a burger rare.
5. Other diners get their food (they came in after us keep in mind).
6. Get food after 15 minutes, dropped it to us like we were dogs, didn't say a word, burger was well done. No where near my liking.
7. Lost appetite, watching my mother who i was trying to treat to lunch, get disrespected as she wanted to order more.
8. Waitress comes back and drops off bill.
9. My mother had to raise her voice just to get a take out box because the Waitress was already walking away.
10. Debating if we want to talk to the manager or just never come back to this place.

Going with the latter option, congratulations, you have officially lost this locals business. I'll eat the McDonald's next door before visiting this...

Good food, good menu selection, fast and friendly service. Some recommendations though: (1.) The Perch sandwich needs more Perch, the fish should be falling out of the sandwhich...my wife got the sandwich and although tasty...the fish to bun ratio was off, just two tiny pieces. We are in a state surrounded by 5 lakes stocked with plenty of Perch...shouldn't be that hard to get plenty of Perch to stack that sandwich and still make bank. (2.) Stop putting 2 straws in each drink and giving us 2 new straws every time we get a new refill...we had 9 lemonades between us and had 18 straws!!! The plastic waste must be outrageous, and the cost to the restaurant? Switch to a wider straw or go with paper or compostable straws, and make customers reuse the straw they already have.

Also...wow, the raspberry deep fried cheesecake was...oh..my...totally awesome!!! Be brave future customer and eat one all by yourself, or find a loved one or friend to share. If you can't find a friend to share it with, I will give you my number, and I'll...
