Colby's Cafe & Brew — Restaurant in Whitehall Township

A happy accident. We were searching for a place to have breakfast in the area and found Colby's Cafe & Brew. The restaurant is bigger than it seems. It was a little confusing at first because we didn't know if we should sit down and be seated. Order first then seat yourself. Or find a seat and order. The staff is very nice and ready to help. I ordered the ppb breakfast peanut butter and banana on cinnamon swirled toast. They were out of bananas so I got a side of fresh cut fruit and a side of syrup. This was actually better than I expected. When you dine in You get free refills. So, get the small or medium. The large cup is like lifting a bowl of soup. It was kind of funny. The restaurant is very clean. Including the bathrooms. A huge plus plus. I will definitely be back and would recommend this to anyone in the area looking for something good and different from the normal routine fast food...

I would give 5 stars up until the new window lady took over, with the short blond hair. Rude. If she’s in a mood - you’ll know! Especially when it’s busy you can tell it really stresses her out. Not very accommodating or helpful. If you ask her a question, she seems already annoyed by it. Colby used to be the best part of the morning because the younger girls who work there are amazing! So sweet! So accommodating! Honestly, the only one that’s a real grinch there is that lady at the window That’s the only reason I’m giving them three stars instead of five.. Customer Service is everything when it comes to business… You can make one heck of a coffee or a dish, but when it comes down to it if the service isn’t great, then I’d rather find elsewhere. We would drive all the way from North Muskegon just to get coffee or something to eat real quick but more so far the coffee.. But we are not driving that far For...

I really enjoy this place and will come back again and again. The soups are delicious. Sandwiches too. I would ask this place to reevaluate their Italian meat panini. It's extremely tasty, but because of the fat content of the Salami and Pepperoni (good quality ingredients), there is a lot of excess greasiness when these are heated. If they are buttering the bread maybe try grilling it dry instead? I would recommend ordering it, but grab some extra napkins. Muffins are huge! We split the Turtle Muffin four ways for a nice little dessert. Everyone loved it. This was my second visit and I had their 3311 Breakfast Burrito the first time.
