The baked goods are tasty and authentic.

My only qualm is the deceptive 4% tax/fee that's added to each line item. I've visited twice and have been served well by two different individuals but in both cases, the verbal price given was lower than the line item on each receipt (see attached photos). For example, I was told that sweet breads were $1 even but $0.04 cents was added to each bread (seen in receipt #2 - 8.20.24). Also, when checking out, they again verbally state the balance without the upcharge, even though they know they're charging you more. It's the fact that they know it's wrong but do it anyway that bothers me.

According to Ohio state law, they're not supposed to be charging taxes or fees on prepared foods - the exception being dine-in restaurants, which this isn't. Prepared foods that are carried out shouldn't be taxed or have added fees.

The baked goods are good and the people are nice, but the deceptive upcharge feels icky, so I'm unlikely to return.

8.22.24 edit I appreciate your response but that was never communicated to me while I was in the bakery. And if the fee was actually due to the form of payment, you may want to consider adding that to the fee line on the receipt instead of adding it to each baked good without explanation. I was really looking forward to this cake, but my experience was completely frustrating. I was told it would be ready at 10:30 AM. My daughter arrived on time, only to be told it wouldn’t be ready until 11 — with no prior notice.

The worst part: the cake was obviously still warm and hadn’t been refrigerated long enough. Cakes, especially layered or frosted ones, need time to cool and set — typically at least 1–2 hours in refrigeration — to avoid collapsing during transport. This one wasn’t. It slid apart and was ruined in the car.

When I let the baker know, I was told I had the “wrong type of car” to transport it. That’s not only dismissive, it’s unprofessional. The issue wasn’t the car — it was that the cake wasn’t properly prepared or stabilized.

We had our wedding cake with cupcakes catered by Anna's Bakery. We showed a picture of a snowflake cake we wanted for our winter wonderland wedding. They knocked out of the park. The cake and cupcakes were beautiful and looked like the picture. It sparkles like new fallen snow. Most of the snowflakes were edible and tasted like sugar and marshmallow. The icing tasted like non other. The cake was moist and the cream filling was so delicious. EVERY guest raved about the icing and the appearance.
