Mi Pueblo Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Whitehall

Our visit today was pretty poor considering. They weren't busy. The waiter we normally get is always awesome! He is attentive, fast, just good at what he does. Say u want a taco, enchiladas n chimichanga instead of ordering them all separate, if there is a meal that offers that or something similar he would suggest it instead of costing u more by allowing u to order each item separately not knowing they have a meal that has those items in it. He's just a great waiter but this guy we had today was far from our normal guy. He was not customer friendly, he actually rolled his eyes when he took our drink order n as he was getting ready to walk away we stopped him and politely told him we were ready to order, that must of annoyed him because he rolled his eyes at us. We brushed it off as maybe it wasn't directed at us or maybe he didn't indeed roll his eyes at us... well not long after that he did it again when my finance asked if he could also order a side of rice. At this point it was very clear he was indeed rolling his eyes at us. He clearly didn't want to be there or at least waiting on us or maybe us asking him to do his job was annoying to him I guess but regardless he wasn't at all pleasant. N we r good tipers, if u do ur job n are attentive to ur customers normally like us they will do good by them n leaving a nice tip. A lil extra than what is the expected % to show ur appreciation for a job well done.... but this guy was not getting but the bare minimum % of our $60 Maybe next time he will change his attitude towards his customers and do better. Just sayn. Okay I think I've ranted enough. Normally I don't complain unless I'm given a reason. I understand ppl have bad days but when ur in that line of work tips are huge part...

This used to be a five star review, as my boyfriend and I were regulars and were always excited to eat here... until a month ago. Albeit the place was busy that night, but when our waiter came to take our order he wouldn’t even wait long enough to get an accurate response and kept walking away. My boyfriend had ordered a frozen margarita, and typically they always ask if we want regular or jumbo. I said I’ll have the same, but regular[size]. I wasn’t even finished talking and he walked away. When he returned to our table with the wrong drink, it took me forever to flag him back down, but finally when he returned to take our order I politely asked for a frozen drink and he stood there insisting I gave him the wrong order and literally argued with me several times before taking it away and bringing me the correct one. I don’t understand what benefit comes from arguing with your customers, but I was appalled and my boyfriend infuriated. When he returned, we asked for a different waiter to serve us and he didn’t listen, yet again, but started picking up our things to move us to another table, so we asked him again and he did his usual walking away and was replaced.

The next time we returned to the restaurant our friends picked it, so we abliged, but the same waiter walked past us and smirked like he thought it was funny we were back. I honestly have never had worse customer service and I’m very easy going and easy to please. We now have taken our business to El Rey across the street who always has excellent, polite service. Never will I return again so long as that waiter is still...

I went there for some good Mexican cuisine. The first thing I noticed is the new building and the parking lot and outdoor seating. Even though it sits next to a car lot. The one thing people don't want to see while eating is dirty cars.

One the way inside, the atmosphere is very welcoming and beautiful. Mexican music playing, hockey and other shows on to suit all their customers. The waiting time is rather short between the time I walked in the store to the time I gotten the seat.

The chips are complimentary with tomato salsa. Other type of dips are extra. My first problem was when the overweight Mexican came to ask what drink we wanted. He asked only one person and ignored me. Then when he returned with the drink, he gave us Mountain Dew which is what my partner wanted, but I wanted either Pepsi or Coca-Cola.

Then we gotten another server who took our main dish. He made up for the inconvenience from earlier. I have gotten a jumbo shrimp quesadilla. One of the best Mexican meals I have.

The next problem is by the same Mexican waiter. It was time to pay for the meal, but I guess that Facebook was more important than the customers. If he was on break, I understand; but keep the professionalism high. The same nice waiter charged us for the meal and we left a $3 tip.

The reason why I gave it a 4 star rating was solely on the rude overweight Mexican. Other than that, it would been a 5...
