CHRISTO'S COMES THROUGH!!! We recently had a bad experience ordering from Christo's their famous Greek dressing. As hard as we tried, we could not seem to get them to send it to us in Florida. After several conversations with them by phone requesting the dressing and inquiring why we had not received it, we finally gave up and cancelled our order.
New friends we had met told us about Christos as they had lived in Brockton and raved about the dressing. Our purpose in ordering the dressing was to surprise them as this was one of the things they missed most after leaving Brockton. Needless to say we were disappointed.
Several months went by and just the other day we came home from a day trip. There on the porch was a very large box that had been delivered by overnight mail. Neither of us had ordered anything, so we were wondering from whom it came. We opened up the box and there was a case of the Christo's famous dressing. We had not ordered that many, so we called the restaurant and spoke to the Owner, Ms. Johnson. She told us she had sent the dressing to us as a gift because she felt bad about our experience and wanted to make it right.
With an attitude like this, we feel Christo's is deserving of all praise it gets. It meant more to Ms. Johnson to make her customer happy and made us feel that our business was important to her, even though we are far away in Florida. Thanks Ms. Johnson for your kindness and allowing us to taste that great Greek dressing. It is everything and more than our friends told...
Read moreThe customer service at this location is nothing like what the previous Brockton location was known for under the leadership of the current owner’s parents. The daughter, who now runs the restaurant, unfortunately does not demonstrate the same professionalism or hospitality that made her family’s business so successful. On several occasions, I have witnessed her scolding employees in front of customers, which is both unprofessional and uncomfortable. This behavior creates a secondhand embarrassment that reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. If managing the restaurant is such a source of frustration, perhaps she should step aside rather than direct that negativity at staff and guests. To be fair, the employees themselves are consistently kind and attentive. They are the saving grace of the business. But repeated excuses, such as blaming “humidity” for the credit card machine being down, instead of implementing a clear policy like cash-only, further highlight the lack of accountability...
Read moreWent in recently to pick up a few things for a lunch for 4 people. They literally either didn't have or couldn't make any of the 4 menu items we wanted. Counter person did apologize, but it seemed like she said that a lot (barely looked up). The few items in the "grab and go" refrigerator weren't labelled and looked nasty. From the counter you are able to see the kitchen and there was no activity. Nothing being cooked no smell of anything in the ovens. You would think that being out of four different menu items that are said to be available to grab and go/reheat at home - they would be making an effort to replenish those types of items. Nope. Just a real sad aura about the place. Looked a lot like a make-shift Meals-On-Wheels kitchen that had just finished for the day. I literally wonder how long it can stay open....unless it's just a front. It was like walking into a sketchy bodega that has tons of empty shelves except for five random items.
Way to tarnish...
