Had to give them another opportunity since we have not visited for about 2-3 years. Service is always excellent—friendly and quick staff. I placed our order to go, so I am not giving any points for the ambiance. The place is small and cozy, and the patio area has more room. The eggs, Benedict, we're ok. The quality of ingredients wasn't a problem; just the 5 minutes of being in a container didn't help the crisp factor. I hope that the next Visit, we go we can sit down and enjoy a full experience and bump up the score. Updated: Place is still a solid choice for Brunch or Lunch. The staff is generally welcoming and attentive. This last visit wifey and I decided ton a late lunch. Place was relatively empty. We were seated promptly and got water, after that it took a bit before our server came back. The food was okay - the Cesar salad dressing was a bit watery for my taste. The chimmy steal toast was good. The chimmy was light in both quantity and bold flavor. Steak was cooked well. The rose latte I recommend stay away and just get a regular latte. It was hard to taste a subtle rose flavor which is the point. The latte was adorned with dried petals, which are edible but don’t infuse much flavor. The Belgian waffle was good, just nothing spectacular. Definitely will be back, just hope we got there on a bad day.

We visited Toast Whittier while in the area because of all the good reviews . There are so many amazing posts and compliments. First off, there is only one restroom for the restaurant. Wedrove one hour, and I needed the restroom before sitting down to eat, but someone was occupying it for nearly 15mins after we sat down. I couldn't wait, so luckily, KFC across the street was open. Be aware that their restrooms are for paying customers only. So I had to buy something to gain access. My food came about 5 minutes after I left. My hubby ordered the Chimmy Toast and I the House Benedict. My eggs were overcooked, but everything else on it was fine. My hubby's steak was not bad, except we didn't see any chimichurri sauce anywhere on the plate. Maybe it was marinated with it, but some sauce would have been great. My second set of eggs were ok, tasted like vinegar, and looked like it was poached in saran wrap. An ok experience, but nothing I would go out of my way for again.

I was surprised to find such a nice spot in Whittier. No offense to Whittier fanatics, but I've always thought of it as being in the middle of nowhere. Why go to Whittier if you can just go to LA? Am I right? But even at 2pm, this place was packed, and for good reason! I never thought I'd be impressed with a piece of toast. After all, it's just a piece of slightly burnt bread. But the perfect avocado toast was, as the name suggest, just purrrfect. I was a bit underwhelmed and sketched out by the Butterfly Unicorn Tea, as it was just iced tea with a ton of blue food coloring. It tasted just like a regular Arnold Palmer, so I'd probably just get that instead of this gimmicky tea. The eggs benny was good, but slightly overcooked in my opinion. I like them slightly more runny where as the yolks here were much too solid for my taste. But nonetheless, I enjoyed it very much! I would definitely come back again if I didn't live 370 miles away.

Took my girlfriend here for her Birthday brunch. We've always wanted to come but the place is always packed on weekends so we would put it off. Well, her birthday happened to be on a weekday this year so we finally got our chance to find out what all the consistent business was about.

First off, the atmosphere is very pleasant. Great lighting, and the inside is nice and minimalistic. There was outside seating that had plenty of shade and was secluded from the nearby parking lot and road by walls. I was tempted for the outside seats but we settled on the inside for some A/C and quiet. (The outside seems to be a popular choice.)

Our waiter, Michael, was really awesome. Very attentive, and he gave us great recommendations when we told him it was our first time. His big one was the House Eggs Benedict, but he also mentioned the Spanish omelette and a couple others favorites.

We both decided to have the House Eggs Benedict with country potatoes. To drink, she had their cucumber lemonade and I had their blood orange tea.

The blood orange tea was good. The cucumber lemonade? So. Good. I actually told my girlfriend that I wish they sold that stuff by the gallon, I'd buy it. Reminded us a lot of the cucumber lemonade at Cilantro's Tacos, but in my opinion Toast's version of it tastes even better.

The House Eggs Benedict was the real star of the meal. As it should be, but I didn't think a breakfast item would rock my socks like this one did. The chef was not stingy with any part of the dish, plenty of avocado and bacon. The eggs were poached just right. The whole dish had a lot of texture and was just damn tasty. It's a new favorite for sure, and my girlfriend agrees.

The verdict? Awesome brunch spot that deserves a try. Only gripe is the pricing, which would deter us from going more often, but obviously they get enough business to justify the...

I have been to this place with my friend before and I absolutely love it. Today my friend and I decided to go to have a New Year’s Eve breakfast, we had the worst experience. I signed up to get a table, they said 25 minutes; it actually took an hour. Our order was taken as soon as we got our table but 45 minutes later, we had to ask our server why it was taking so long to get our food? she went to check on our food, she said it was almost done, in the mean time the manager came over to our table to apologize and offer a discount for the delay. When we got our order it was all wrong. We ordered the cheese steak toast with no onions, instead it was extra onions and no bell pepper, the second order was the perfect avocado toast with eggs, the avocado look like it had been sitting there for a while ( turning black and no flavored). We send the cheese steak back, they offer to redo it, however, at this point I was hungry, eat whatever we had and get out of there. They continue to apologized which, I appreciated but it was too late. We were very irritated. We asked for our bill which it did not take them too long to bring it to us and to our surprise there was no discount as promised. We payed our bill full price because we did not need to reminded them was it was promise to us, we just wanted to leave and forget about our HORRIBLE experience at...

Visiting from NorCal with my daughter who lives in Whittier. First impression awful sitting spot! We (2 very petite women) were placed right by the door inside. I sat on the outside where my chair was constantly bumped. The cleaning cart was trying to get through, it’s like “where am I supposed to go?!” My chest was already pressed against the very tiny table! The table was wobbly so I asked the waitress who was really rude and had no personalty by the way if she could give me something to place under the table leg. She looked at me like I was an idiot. She did finally bring me a folded up napkin after our drinks were already served. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s okay I made it work! There were 2 younger women who sat next us starring at us most of time with a mugging facial expression at the beginning and again upon leaving at us, mostly my daughter. (Not really sure what that was about! Especially since the whole time they were there, they were talking garbage about every friend. 😳) Food was so bland, absolutely no taste at all, we ordered 2 classics with egg, potato and white toast. They brought 1 sourdough by mistake. Honestly there’s just no excuse to screw up the most easiest basic breakfast! It’s too bad because I would have made this my regular brunch spot during my visits to So Cal, since it’s really close to my daughter’s...
