El Norteño — Restaurant in Wichita Falls

Oh man, let me tell you about this hidden gem I stumbled on. I mean, I've had my fair share of Mexican food, but this place just blew my mind! I'm talking about some of the most authentic, mouth-watering, and downright delicious Mexican cuisine I've had in a long time. I'm giving this place a solid 5 stars, and here's why.

First off, the Tacos Sincronizadas. Holy guacamole, these bad boys were out of this world! The flavors were so perfectly balanced, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. It's like they took a little piece of Mexico and served it up on a plate. I could taste the love and passion that went into making these tacos, and I couldn't get enough of them.

Now, let me paint you a picture. We arrived at El Norteno just before closing time, and you know how some places can get a little grumpy when you show up late? Not these guys. The staff were so polite and welcoming, it felt like we were being invited into their home. They didn't rush us or make us feel like we were inconveniencing them. Instead, they treated us like family, and that's something you don't find every day.

The atmosphere at El Norteno was warm and inviting, with a touch of that laid-back, Mexican charm. It was the perfect setting to enjoy some amazing food and share a few laughs with friends. And speaking of laughs, the staff were not only polite but also had a great sense of humor. It's always a bonus when you can have a good time while enjoying a fantastic meal.

Absolutely disgusting. And they are very rude. My husband called and said he wanted two orders of chicken quesadillas with beans and rice and only sour cream on one and the lady said okay. My husband gets home with the food and no beans or rice and sour cream was all over his food which he's allergic to. So he called and asked to speak to a manager and the lady refused to let him. She then proceeded to ask him what the problem was and then she decided to tell him they consider beans and rice as an appetizer? Makes no sense why she wouldn't tell him at the time of ordering...? She then hung up after telling him that with no apology or anything. This place was disgusting. We decided to try the food since we spent $30 on two orders of chicken quesadillas and it was the absolute worst food I've ever tasted in my life. And the salsa was gross and the chips were stale. We just threw it in the trash and went somewhere else. First and last...

True hole in the wall but a must stop if passing through Wichita Falls! In the front of the building you can place to go orders and around the side by the parking area, they have the dine in restaurant where you seat yourself. Being from LA and living in Houston it’s not easy to find carne guisada that has the right amount of blended spices. The sauce was perfect and not greasy. We had a cocktel de camarón, plain carne guisada burrito and a Burrito Supreme of tripitas… soo good! The tripitas were perfect as well, soft and crunchy and cut the right size to eat. The cocktel de camarón was good too, shrimp, onions, cilantro, avocado slices were all fresh and not spicy, which I prefer, that way I can add my own level of heat.
