Deli Planet & Drinkery, conveniently situated just off the base, is an excellent dining choice for anyone looking to venture beyond Sheppard AFB for a meal. The accessibility alone makes it a great option, but it's the quality of the food and the overall experience that truly sets it apart. This place is simply amazing, consistently delivering delightful culinary experiences. Each visit has left me thoroughly impressed, and today was no different.
Upon entering, you're immediately greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere that blends modern dƩcor with a touch of rustic charm. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and ready to ensure that your dining experience is top-notch. Their passion for great food and excellent service shines through in every interaction.
Today, I decided to indulge in one of their renowned burgers, opting for a 1/2 lb cheeseburger with a twist ā I added jalapeƱos and their ghost pepper cheese. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The burger was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, with the perfect amount of heat from the jalapeƱos and ghost pepper cheese. Each bite was a delicious explosion of flavors that left me wanting more.
The fries, oh the fries! They are hands down some of the best I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right ā they are a true testament to the art of fry-making. I've had fries from numerous restaurants, but these stand out as exceptional, rivaling even the most high-end establishments.
To complement my meal, I chose their sweet tea with lemon, and it was the perfect choice. The tea was refreshingly sweet, not overly sugary, and the hint of lemon added a delightful citrusy zing. It was a perfect balance that quenched my thirst and paired wonderfully with the spicy, savory burger.
But what truly makes Deli Planet & Drinkery special is the attention to detail and the commitment to quality that is evident in every aspect of their operation. From the meticulously prepared food to the thoughtfully designed interior, every element is crafted to create a memorable dining experience. It's not just about eating; it's about enjoying a moment of culinary excellence in a place that feels both comfortable and exciting.
Additionally, their menu offers a wide variety of options to suit any palate. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty sandwich, a fresh salad, or one of their signature burgers, you'll find something to love. They also have an impressive selection of beverages, from craft beers to creative cocktails, ensuring that your drink choice is as enjoyable as your meal.
In conclusion, Deli Planet & Drinkery is a gem in Wichita Falls, a place where you can escape the routine of base dining and treat yourself to something truly special. The consistently excellent food, welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service make it a must-visit. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by and experience the magic of Deli Planet & Drinkery. I guarantee you won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe owner, Rebecca, is a miserable waste of oxygen. I work for DoorDash. A customer orders on the app, and either a DoorDash employee calls the restaurant before I get there to place the order, or I place the order in person. This time, someone had called ahead. It was for Chris D. They ordered one "Super Hero" and one "Cheeseburger". I walk in, explain that I'm with DoorDash and give the name on the order, like I do with every other business I've visited before this one. She starts raising her voice immediately at me berating me and my company and all delivery companies, complaining how she doesn't get a cut, so she's not going to serve to them anymore, including me. She's really yelling. She barely let me get 5 words in. I wanted to explain to her infinitesimal brain that her cut is the extra business that these apps give her! Then, a woman next to her says, oh here's the order, we already made it. But this Rebecca ghoul snatches it out of the employee's hand, and says no. We're not giving it to him. I try to be peaceful, never raising my voice. I asked her... Why are you taking this out on me? Literally ruined my day, and now I can't sleep because I'm so angry at her. I was just trying to do my job and she was so mean! Most people aren't like this... Maybe one in a hundred are. She's that one.
But the story doesn't end there. So far, this has gone on about 3 minutes of her restating over and over again how she doesn't serve to delivery businesses, where's my cut?!?!, etc, so I try to play her game, and say okay, my name's Adam, and I would like to order some food for myself. The sack of wasted genes then proceeds to tell me I am BANNED and if I don't leave immediately, she will call the police.
Are. You. Kidding. Me.
I had to wait in the parking lot for 30 minutes, contacting the customer and DoorDash support to get it resolved. I had driven 16 miles to the location as well. So all in all it was nearly an hour of wasted time. If you've ever done delivery driving, you know how frustrating this is, and how it kills your hourly rate for the day.
But what bothered me much more than the wasted time and money, is how a fellow human being could be so hateful to a complete stranger. Please don't support this vile...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went for a birthday party, as we do once or twice every year, not including the days that we go for no reason at all. First of all, it took five hours to get a return call to allow us to make a reservation. And when they DID finally call back, I was informed they did not take reservations (news to us) Again, we have had several parties there through the years. The girl on the phone also said we could not request any specific music or complain that the music was loud nor could they move any tables around to accommodate our party of 14. When we arrived (only because birthday boy INSISTED we have the party there), we asked if we could push some tables together so there would be seating for all of us. Rudely, I was told "No. We already told you it's a fire hazard and we can't do it" Okay fine, I understand a fire hazard. What I don't understand is why it never bothered them before. Anyway...moving on from that.... The AC was broken!! Would've been nice to know that along with all the stipulations laid on us beforehand. Service was AWFUL, even though our waiter knew we always tip him very well! We had to ask several times to get any service of any kind. Had to even chase him down a couple times to get a refill. Only some of us were asked to put up a credit card or ID when placing our orders with the bar. The baby we had with us got overheated and was throwing up all night and a couple of others from our party had to leave early because they couldn't stand the heat. It was 103 DEGREES OUTSIDE!! We were huge fans of the deli planet and even liked the owner. After last night being the worst of the last few BAD visits we've had, we won't...
