I checked out their website and saw they had a Thursday Jr. Monterrey special for $6.50. When I picked my order up I was told it was $8.30 plus tax. I said it was advertised for $6.50 on Thursdays. I was told it's an old website and I said it's your only website. She said she would let someone know and that it was it. I don't mind paying accurate prices but I do mind paying inaccurate prices because the owner didn't take the time to update prices changes on their own website. The food was lackluster. The Monterrey has lettuce, cheese and beans and a few chunks of pork that was advertised as carne asada. Salsa was decent and chips were bland.

Uhhh...not very good Mexican food. Felipes or Mexico Viejo are much better choices in this area. Guacamole was already turning brown when it was brought to the table. The tortilla used for my chicken "sancho" was not fresh and it was flaky thin and chicken was tasteless. I said No Beans....it was full of beans. The Chile Relleno was not tender. Save your money it was not worth the price.

The burrito was smothered with American cheese. The quesadilla was American cheese. Sorry that’s not a quesadilla. The fajita beef was provided as slab/sheets of meat. Not cut or shredded. Beef is poorly seasoned. Or not seasoned at all. Salsa taste like watery tomato soup. We had a gift card but won’t be returning.

Great place for geriatric British who are used to tasteless food. The cheese enchiladas came out a solid blob of cheese. The tamales were 98% masa and 2% gelatinous meat like substance...except it did not taste like meat. The tacos dripped grease yet were tasteless. The margaritas where pure mixer without a hint of even house tequila. The white queso dip was a blob of cheese in an extremely tiny dish think less than 1/4 cup for $5. The flour chips were old and stale before they were put back into fry for the 2nd time. They were greasy yet chewy...for an additional $3. The refried beans where actually edible.

Above all, nothing really had any flavor much less any seasoning.

The general consensus of the table was that Taco Shop had more flavor and...

Would not recommend. The food was sub average, one plate on the table was ok but the other two were not. The order wasn’t correct and the service was rude. If you have any sort of discount card do not even bother with it here. We had one with this restaurant listed and had no exclusives stated, had it out during our ordering and the waitress waited till the food arrive to inform us that we could not use it since two of the meals were specials. No problem we asked about applying it to the other dish that was not a special and the waitress responded in a rude and annoyed fashion saying “ok” and then failed to actually apply it. Honestly the food alone was enough for me to not recommend this place but the service just...

If there was an award for the WHITEST WHITE PEOPLE Mexican food ever, think this would take the gold. So bland. Not hot. Barely warm. Certainly doesn't melt the cheese they put on it. And that's not hot sauce. Wasnt even mild. Had no flavor. Can't imagine what the mild taste like. They need to start spicing up the food. Can't believe how bland it was. You will think you are eating with COVID. No taste buds. Service started out good. Then I was abandoned when I actually needed things. Like water. Nothing like being passed by with the water pitcher more than once and flavorless beans to dry out your mouth. Go to the north side for mexican food because there...
