Gorditas Express — Restaurant in Wichita

I really like this place. There isn't much space or seating inside, but the foods are excellent! My favorite is their barbacoa (goat meat). The past several times I ate there, I've always got the different barbacoa items. Barbacoa gordita and barbacoa burrito. The gordita is very simple. Just a tortilla pocket of either corn or flour, meat, onions, and cilantro. It is simple and flavorful. The burrito is filled with meat, guacamole, and Pico de Gallo. Both are very good. Well.. the portions were HUGE.. however the food taste was.. to put it nicely, it was not the best. We both got the gordita plates. The gorditas were huge however the flavor was awful. The refried beans had no flavor the rice had no flavor. I honestly want to take this food back as the two plates were $23 together and get my money back. But instead I'm just not going to go back and I'm letting everybody else know service was not all that friendly and the food was just horrible. Enjoyed taking home some Gorditas for dinner tonight! We called ahead to place an order, so the food was ready when we arrived 15 minutes later.

My partner and I ordered a mix of gorditas. We got 4 different kinds. Our favorites were tripas and al pastor! All together we order 6 gorditas and paid less than $18. The tortillas are amazing and everything made to order.

They have a drive through window, but I recommend calling ahead to avoid waiting. This is a little hole-in-the-wall place that is a hidden gem on the southeast...
