When we got there I was told the wait was 45 min to an hr. We don't normally wait that long for a place to eat, and would go to another place. But, our friend had a gift card and wanted to use it here. So we got on the wait list and sat down in the lobby. About 5 min later we were approached by a worker asking us to go outside and wait. When asked why she said that they needed to stay under 100 people and that included the lobby. There was no one in the lobby except for us and hostesses and everyone in our party was wearing a mask. Our friend still wanted to stay so we went outside. It was less and 45 degrees outside and temp was still dropping so we went and sat in our vehicle with blankets till that got too cold and had to turn it on. After waiting and hour and 15 min. I went back inside to check status and saw the lobby full. And when I say full there was not a place for someone to sit and not a lot of room to move around. When I got to hostess station they said we were next in line to be seated. And I actually got told to go back outside and wait till we were text that our table was ready. I about lost it. Again, we were there for our friend. (I understand the time we live in currently is not normal but if your going to throw people out and tell them its because of the rules you should do it to everyone not when it is convenient.) I went back outside to our vehicle and not a minute pasted before I got a text saying our table was ready. Grrr. After we were seated things got better. Our server was excellent, and the food was good. Which is why they get 2 stars. We rarely go out anymore and this was supposed to be a treat because of our friend. It was nearly ruined because someone wanted to abide by the rules and not be a human. But then decided it was too much trouble when there were actually people in the lobby. When we do venture out next we will not go to this place, and probably won't when...
Read moreThe Kudos here go to Kevin who is the general manager and I found out though that his last day was yesterday. He is one of the best managers I have ever had the fortune to speak to and to meet. He made me feel like a valued customer from the very first moment we spoke. And his staff also was really good whose name is Madison who served me. It was a wonderful experience due to Kevin and to madison. I had a veggie burger with avocado and it was good along with sweet potato fries with sea salt which was truly great to hear they use sea salt instead of table salt that gives someone Alzheimer's due to the fact that there's aluminum in regular salt to prevent it from kicking and that is by every ethical doctor known as a cause for Alzheimer's. I also had a shake a chocolate and caramel Shake without the pretzels and it was fantastic. All in all a good meal and great service and a great manager and I think it is worth everyone's time to experience the good things that this Red Robin has to offer. The only reason I gave atmosphere a lower star is because of the amount of noise and that was because there were a number of tables set up together with a family maybe a party for birthday and there was another birthday just next to it and a larger group so the noise was more than I wished but that was part of being in a restaurant. Next time I would probably choose to go outside and sit as it seems that maybe the big parties are put inside. Thanks again to Kevin who made this experience Unforgettable. He was probably the warmest kindest most friendly most respectful manager I've ever spoken to over the phone and same once I met him. If everyone was like Kevin who worked for a corporation people would be treated well all the time and customers would never have a problem, because Kevin solves every problem with such honor and integrity that customers can't help but...
Read moreThey were packed and thus dinner took much longer than expected and was fraught with pet peeves like appetizers coming out at the same time as entrees, long waits for drinks, and lacking silverware and waters. Server was doing his best and I don't fault him, they looked under staffed. We were there to celebrate an award for our sons and the hostess asked us if we were celebrating, we told her yes, and she excitedly told the boys to save room for ice cream. They looked forward to it all (long) dinner and when it was time for desert, our waiter informed us the ice cream machine was turned off. Sad little boys. Here's my breakdown:
Cons: Managers need to staff up, spend more time training their staff, and work at better preparing food purchasing to account for crowd expectations (out of salmon as well). Very loud, packed together, and not very fast... Quite slow.
Pros: Bottomless fries are a great deal and they're delicious. Burgers are very good as well and they have gluten free buns or lettuce wraps as alternative bun options. Steamed broccoli very healthy and GREAT kids menu. Margaritas were good and the house Cabernet was also good. A vegetarian member of our group was extremely pleased with the options and her meal. Restaurant very clean, clean bathrooms, and very affordable.
Pros outweigh the cons. Have read reviews that service is an area of opportunity so I wonder if under staffing consistently is an issue? Overall, you get what you get here and as far as family dining goes for fast casual burgers, RR is pretty good. Adult beverages and entrees for parents, awesome kids options for the little ones, bottomless fries, and easy on...
