Recently I saw a post advertising their lavender matcha with marshmallow foam and as someone who loves the lavender matcha from Starbucks and marshmallows I could not wait to try it. Unfortunately it was a total waste of time and money. For a small with extra foam it ended up costing me nearly $9 which is honestly ridiculous. The same thing at Starbucks costs me under $6. If it was actually good I wouldn’t have been too upset about paying a little extra for it because it did have the added flavor of marshmallow as well, but it was awful. I couldn’t even taste the matcha or the lavender. It might as well have been water with green food dye and marshmallow fluff on top. I took a few sips trying to give it a chance but it was honestly just awful, and luckily there was a Starbucks nearby so I went and got one there instead. Pictured here are the lavender matcha I got from Mokas and the lavender matcha I had to replace it with from Starbucks. If Mokas cannot make something as simple as matcha then I would not trust them to make anything else either. Will not be wasting anymore time and money on this place.

I have been here twice and never went to a Mokas before, so I'll review it from that perspective. The atmosphere and dining room set up are top-notch. A lot of cafes are downsizing their seating areas these days (I'm looking at you, Starbucks at Rock and Central) or are just drive-thrus like the innumerable 7Brews. But Mokas is keeping with the laptop-friendly, light-fare model that made cafés like Panera Bread such successes. Writers especially thank you for the fabulous and varied menu, plentiful power outlets, and free wifi. The service was beyond friendly and welcoming.

I'd consider myself an avid coffee fan, frequenting cafes in various big cities. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at Mokas. I ordered the sandwich and soup combo and a snowflake latte for a reasonable price. The BLT was delicious. It was well-toasted with crispy bacon but still light on the palate and not overly salty/oily. The broccoli cheddar soup was creamy and satisfying. Finally, the snowflake latte was silky smooth with a mild sweetness and peppermint flavor. I will definitely visit again when I return to Wichita.

First time trying and went through drive thru. You hand them your card and immediately requesting a tip via their machine. Tip in a drive through? Today went through drive thru again.. I made a joke about having to sign with my left hand and she says yeah I don’t know why they have us use these (really??? Yeah you do) and said because of the out of control tip culture…her smile fade and she rolls her eyes..closes the window reopens within seconds and hands me my coffee and food. Luckily I voiced my opinion after it was all prepared. If I have to pay PRIOR to getting my food…I’m not tipping. That’s ridiculous to even request it in a...

Mokas is an amazing and atmospheric dine in experience! I used to go to the Mokas downtown and loved it, I'm glad they could bring the same amazing experience here on the east side. If you are wondering if Mokas is worth the stop, halt your fear as amazing lives here! The food is deviously delicious and the coffee is refreshing/different enough to bring you back to that original enjoyment! The first time you stepped up to the menu and took a shot in the dark to order that latte! Definitely another great coffee shop to feed that need for the caffeine. Stop by and give...
