We used to go to Bonefish quite often. The bar is nice and we actually would wait on a spot to sit there and have drinks and dinner. We haven't been in quite a while, but received a gift card for Christmas and Bonefish was one of the options, so we went last night about 5:30 p.m. to try it again. We were masked up, walked in and the bar was "full" according to new social distancing guidelines. There was NO ONE AT ALL in the waiting area beside the bar. There was one booth in the bar open, but it had not been cleaned. We asked the Hostess if they could clean the table so we could sit there. She told us we could "comfortably wait outside or in our car" while they cleaned the table. Remember, there is NO ONE IN THE WAITING AREA and more than six feet distancing between that area and anyone at the bar. It was 20 degrees outside and that is where we were supposed to wait instead of inside in the designated waiting area. We were floored that this Hostess was stupid enough to ask us to wait outside in the cold while they bussed a table. It would seem more logical to seat us and bus it immediately. But evidently she didn't feel our business was worth it. So we "comfortably" went outside, got in our vehicle and drove two parking lots over to Abuelos. We were graciously welcomed (BTW there were three times as many cars in their parking lot than Bonefish), walked directly to their socially distanced bar area, sat down and proceeded to spend over $100.00 on dinner there. Bonefish must not be too interested in keeping doors open in this challenging time. Businesses are closing daily due to lack of customers. Hmmm, think Bonefish should revisit this with their employees and policies. I wonder if their doors will be open this time next year? I know we'll...
Read moreA dark lit Denny’s, really. This place has no style or anything to distinguish itself from your normal local cafe...except the low lit mood lighting. Next time you visit, imagine the lights are brighter and take a look around the place. It looks simple, plain, no creativity or terms at all. It’s actually boring to go there. Before I go on....Theres nothing wrong with local cafe’s or Denny’s, from Bonefish Grill your being sold by the advertisement and prices that your getting something more upscale and refined. Now I’ll continue...The food is fairly good, but again, not for the price. We’re paying the same prices at the Bonefish Grills that are in Texas, Florida, and aboard that have much more styling and life than this place. Almost all of them have something special about them that makes them stand out. You feel that it’s acceptable to pay for your food at the prices given. But here in Wichita...we’ll, Bonefish is tricking you wichitonians and you deserve better. I don’t know what’s going on with this company (Parent company- ‘Bloomin’Brands’) and their restaurant here, but I hope they don’t think the locals are fools. They need to be open and honest and have their restaurant reflect what they advertise and promote. I gave his place two stars, only because the food is partially better than above average and the waitstaff was prompt. To have my conscience clean, unfortunately I cannot recommend this place to my family, friends, or all who read this review. I love Bonefish Grill, but was shocked and felt that they we’re being disgraceful to you Wichitonians and I had to say something about...
Read moreI was craving seafood two weeks ago and decided to try this place for the first time. My mother and I ordered the Mahi and shrimp, corn chowder soup, Mac and cheese for my two toddlers, and the waitress recommended the bang2 shrimp. First, the soup did not taste good and was salty, the mac and cheese noodles were already hardened and cold; my boys love mac and cheese, but needless to say, they did not eat it. The bang-bang shrimp tasted okay, but after the first few bites, Mom and I realized the shrimp was not fully cooked. So I scraped the seasonings/sauce and the shrimp looked grayish and uncooked. Then the Mahi-shrimp order, the shrimp were still raw as well and the waitress brought it back to the kitchen to cook a bit longer, after a couple of minutes she came back and the shrimp looked like they put more burnt seasoning on top of it and then I took a closer looked and it seems like the black spots on the shrimps were from burnt food from the grill, and it still not fully cooked. I spoke to the waitress and she asked me if I wanted to cook longer. At that point, I said no. I don't need to ask once for my food to be properly cooked. This restaurant should know if their food is cooked right and tastes right. We left all the food on the table. We went to find another place to eat. I spoke to two male managers and they told me they would send me a gift card or refund the payment but they never did. On the way home my mom complained of stomach pain and I ended up spending almost two hours in the bathroom. Needless to say, we will be returning to BONE FISH. It was a total waste of...
