Our group ordered multiple items and had to buy of each. Their raw oysters are $1.50 each market price as of the date of this post. I always eat the first one with no lemon, cocktail sauce, horseradish, or cracker to determine the freshness and these were perfectly fresh with no fishy flavor. Exceptionally fresh and tasted like the ocean. The fried shrimp PoBoy was good. The french fries were my personal favorite type that have the crispy outside with a bit of breading so I definitely recommend them. They had the Friday fish fry and the fish's batter was very light and the fish flavor was great. Fast service from the two waitresses and I believe one's name was Bri? They both worked together and checked up on you every time they pass by. If you want to get under one of the waitresses skin be sure to order a water with no ice and then don't drink it until the end of the meal lol inside joke so if she reads this she might remember us. We sat on the back patio and there was plenty of room. Definitely recommended if you want fresh oysters and we'll be back the next time we visit family there!

Classic gem in the rough! This place literally defines "hole in the wall" route 301 in Wildwood. It also clearly teaches looks can be deceiving. Driving by it in this section of town it looks like a dive. I wouldn't have even considered it but our realtor suggested it. We tried it and keep coming back. This isn't a gourmet place but the food is good. It's bar food and cheap beers. (No liquor, only beer and wine). The "AwShucks" beer is $1.00. (I think it's Miller). But the big draw here is the fresh oysters. They say they shuck over 2,000 oysters a day during peak times. If you're an oyster lover and like a cozy bar atmosphere this place is for you. Or, if you want a cold beer and bar food, that'll work too. Burgers are great! I just love this place. The staff is super friendly and attentive. About 8 small tables and a bar that seats about 12. They have parking in a dirt lot with plenty of room. Highly recommended!

I really enjoy small hole in the wall places so I was delighted to happen across this oyster bar on our way down to Orlando. While the service and mom-and-pop vibe were both top notch, most of the food was just not it. I will say they did live up to their namesake, the oysters were huge, fresh, and tasty. Everything else fell quite short — but most egregious were the “blackened” scallops. First time I’ve paid $25 for a plate of anything and left it mostly untouched when we took our leave. The scallops were very faintly dusted with blackened seasoning, but were majorly flavorless outside of an off putting “not fresh” taste, overcooked, and rubbery. My wife barely touched her (frozen) chicken tenders, not a fan at all. I want to emphasize our server was great, very sweet lady who was attentive and super pleasant. Stick to the oysters and you’ll likely have a more enjoyable meal than I did.

Terrible service, awful food! The "ladies" behind the bar were rude, service was horrible, food was mediocre at best. The oysters had obviously been shucked hours (more likely days) earlier and had been sitting on trays in a fridge. Definitely not fresh. Tasted like they had been doused with tap water. They had no flavor. First time in our lives my husband and I left uneaten oysters at the table. It took over 45 minutes for my mother's meal to arrive. It too was lousy. Cold fried oysters. Undercooked onion rings with raw batter still coating the onions. The worst part of the experience though was the service. As other reviewers have commented, the staff behaves as if they are doing you a favor. You will never see a smile or be treated courteously by any of the servers. They all seem like they really hate being there and that it is somehow your fault. Based on the various quotes and quips hung on the walls around the bar, the wait staff apparently think it's "cute" to treat customers rudely. I can assure them, there is nothing funny about really lousy service. I have had great meals at dive bars. This certainly wasn't one of them. We will not be returning. P.S. Just googled Oh Shucks. Not the least bit surprised to have found this news article about them titled "Wildwood oyster bar reopens after being shut down over failed health inspection". Yet another reason to...

I don't know what happened to "The Soup Nazi" after Seinfeld went off the air, but his wife is managing O'shucks Oyster Bar. Although there were multiple empty tables, we were told that the 2 of us could only sit at the bar or the one empty high top table for 2. We asked repeatedly if we could sit at one of the regular tables, because the high top was uncomfortable.

So 10 minutes after taking the high top, they seated a couple at one of the lower tables, right next to us no less. Once again, we asked for a low top table, but we were told that they couldn't sit a couple at a larger table. When we pointed out the couple sitting at a regular table next to us, the manager responded that the woman had a "medical condition" that prevented her from sitting at a high top.

At that point, I was ready to leave, but my wife had a headache from low blood sugar and needed to eat something. So we ordered a tuna salad salad. The food was OK. After all, how can you screw up tuna salad?

The icing on the cake was the hip hop music that started playing over the P.A. system even though the majority of the customers were senior citizens. I can only assume that the music was intended to drive out the customers as soon as they...

O'Shucks is the place to go when you're tired of tourist ridden Florida and want a place to eat where the locals go. Here's a fine little restaurant that has oysters, raw or lightly fried, on special every Wednesday. That's the reason I went while others had the wonderful fried native shrimp. They also have dollar drafts of Coors to enjoy with whatever homemade locally sourced seafood you choose. The parking lot is unpaved, the building is nothing fancy and the style is pure native Floridian. My goal was to have the oysters with an O'Shuck's draft and listen to friendly conversations around me. Hearing about bass boats, fishing, and pickup truck comparisons was a welcome change from tourists complaints and adventures. We chose to eat outside under the umbrella on a tidy white round table; we could've been inside but, hey, I'm in Florida in early April and it's a beautiful day. First up - beer. Cold frosty one please. A plate of 12 raw oysters on the half shell is next - perfectly cold, fresh, and served with a tangy homemade seafood sauce. Ah, that was good. Next course is fried oysters with French fried potatoes and homemade coleslaw. Perfect. Desert? Another dollar beer please. Well...
