Grandma's Pizza-Main Williamsburg — Restaurant in Williamsburg Township

Let me start this review out by saying  I don't care to write reviews  because I'm honest when I do , but writing this review  is literally Breaking My Heart  I never thought  and a million years  that I would be riding the review that I'm getting ready to write :-( When someone writes a review it is to help other customers know how a business is but it's also to let the business know things they can improve on or things that they're doing well. As most of our long time customers of Grandma's Pizza know that Shawnta,Dewey,I and the rest of our long time team are no longer working there :-( the owner decided to bring someone in with us and hopes of helping us better grandmas Pizza! That's a great idea but when the person comes in and tries to change everything you've worked so hard over the past year to accomplish things that our customers love things that we know do great! We have worked over the past year to improve our customer service we have hired and fired so many people trying to find the right staff for Grandma's Pizza. We have worked so hard to gain the customers that we have gained and we appreciate all of you so writing this review really breaks my heart because we gave so much of our lives to grandmas:-( we brought our kids to work with us just to spend time with them :-( it really hurts to watch everything that we've accomplished and all of our new customers that we've gained and our long time customers are being pushed away because of terrible customer service. They have made a new Facebook page and that's great but the problem is comments that are made on there are being erased if they are not good comments. You're not always going to get good comment's you have to take the good with the bad, that's just how it is that's how you improve- erasing comments dont help you in any way! Will not be ordering from them again. This is a little lengthy review but I feel all the information is important. We started ordering from Grandma's Pizza when we moved to the area a little over a year ago. We always ordered the Big Mama and it was pretty good, and the kids really liked it. We hadn't ordered from here in a few months so last night I decided to try something new. Ordered a Large Meat Topper, Medium Hawaiian, Mushroom Calzone, and a 2 Litter of Root Beer a total of $41, almost double what I usually spend, and was told it would be 30-35 min for my pickup. It takes 10 min to get there from my home, I waited 25 min before I left. I arrive and they tell me my order isn't ready. They started giving excuses that they had 30 orders come in at once and they ran out of cheese so they had to shred more etc. (I can understand this I've worked in restaurants both as a server and a chef) I'm a little annoyed but ok, so I ask how long and I'm told 8-10 min. Not happy about it but I get a seat and start talking to another lady who was also waiting on her order. She had already been there for an extra 15 min and my order was done before her's. During our wait the employees keep opening the oven door saying "It isn't cooking", "I don't know why it isn't cooking", "Is the pilot light on?" etc I look at the lady I had been talking with and said "Well if they left the oven door closed our orders might actually get cooked." I mean really! Do they not know that the more they open the oven door the longer it takes for things to cook? So my wait end up being about 15 min for my order I go to leave but I check my pizzas to make sure they are the correct types because the last time I ordered it was wrong. While I'm doing this a 2 Litter of Dr. Pepper is placed next to my order. I told them that wasn't what I ordered. I wanted Root Beer and when I called the person taking my order said they had Root Beer. Again more excuses, they now have a contract with Pepsi so the no longer have Coke products etc. Ummm... Hello! Pepsi bottles Mug Root Beer why don't you have it if you have a contact with Pepsi? Any way, I refused to take the Dr. Pepper so they refunded the $3 for the soda. I ended up stopping at the gas station and buying a bottle of MUG Root Beer and by the time I got home it had been an hour and 10 min since I had placed the order. Ridiculous! So we go to eat the pizzas and they are HORRIBLE! There is almost no sauce on the pizzas and the sauce has been changed, it tastes like they opened a can of plain tomato sauce and added water to it. There is no flavor to it what so ever. The Meat Topper was supposed to have 5 meats it only had 3, The Hawaiian was also supposed to have bacon and some brown sugar on it which it didn't. The calzone was supposed to be cheese and mushroom but there was also peppers and onions in it and it was more dough than anything else except in the very center where it seems like all the toppings were placed. Before I left the store I had to ask them for additional sauce because they gave me a 2 oz cup that was only half full, which is roughly 1.5 tablespoons. Not nearly enough sauce for a calzone. I ended up using my homemade sauce because their's was so bad. Needless to say this is the finale straw. Between orders being screwed up, poor quality and a staff that has no idea what they are doing, I'm done. Williamsburg location is owned by the same people that owns Mama's Grill, I hope they don't also own the Mt. Orab Grandma's Pizza as well, or if they do they leave it alone because their pizzas are 1000 times better and I will take any future...

Every single time we give this place another shot, its even worse than before. Their pizza sauce is horrible and watery. The cheese is always burnt, the staff are very rude, and the manager (forget her name) is extremely rude and inappropriate. Everything is ridiculously overpriced considering how horrible it is. If they cared about their reputations and put forth effort to make good food, the prices wouldn't be a big deal. We live right here in Burg, but we have always had about 55 minutes to an hour and a half delivery time. I feel they have finally won BC we gave up trying to call and complain about horrible service BC management is so rude, and just don't care. She will argue with you instead of trying to improve the place. The only reason we kept going back is BC their Big Mama pizzas are big enough to feed all of us when we have Family Day at our house. But, we are beyond disgusted to ever try again. Their "steak hoagies" now have cut up pieces of very thin burger patties on big hoagie buns that won't even cover half the bun, much less the whole hoagie bun. Why are they treating customers so poorly like this? $17 for 2 hoagies, to find out a thin burger patty was cut up, divided, and used for the hoagie 😱😨😤 Someone needs to buy this place out and get it back to the way it was...
