Let me start off by saying it pains me to give this is a 2 star review as it was my favorite pizza place in town since it makes the most superb tasting pizzas.
Previously I was going to give this place a 5 star rating until I ordered last night. Last night while waiting on my pizza I ordered I witnessed some genuinely disgusting things. I witnessed the craftsman reaching up beneath their shirt to scratch at their bare skin and then proceeded to knead my dough. Then after the pizza was cooked and placed into the box I watched one of the girls picking at their teeth with their bare hands most of the evening then proceed to not only fail to wash but then reach into a fresh bowl of chopped basil and sprinkle it all over my pizza...
Based off my past orders, the pizza here tastes extraordinary and has a genuinely authentic flavor. But this day in age there is such a thing as too authentic. I ordered a pizza and I didn't pay for nor ask for the extra toppings of dead skin cells and discarded tooth rubbish on my cheese pizza.
Once Little Charlie's requires employees to wear masks again solely to keep the girls from habitually picking at their teeth and is publicly stricter maintaining proper sanitary meal prep then I may give this place...
Read moreMy husband and I went to Little Charlie’s yesterday for the first time. We ate there because we drove 45 minutes just to get there. We went on a recommendation of someone since Uncle B’s Pizza in York County closed in August. The restaurant is very small and seems to do more take out than dine in. They only have two pizza sizes, 16 & 18 inch and it was disappointing that they didn’t offer an individual size pizza like other places do. The pizza was not good. The crust was super thin and the sauce was bland at best. They only offer soda to drink and everything is counter service except you get your own sodas. We were beyond disappointed with this place. I have no idea how they are getting such positive reviews. And it’s possible that after eating at Uncle B’s Pizza for so long, I expect really good pizza and sadly this place doesn’t even come close. This was a “one and done” visit for us. If you want really good pizza, keep looking beyond this restaurant because you won’t...
Read moreHonestly, pizza was pretty good. But... it was not a great experience. In the 30 minutes we were there:
-Owner walked around half the time without his mask on: in the seating area, behind the bar, talked on the phone, over the food for sale, sneezing out in the open without his mask/ not covering his face (about 4 times.) -Customers allowed in without masks -Owner berated a grub hub worker (the app was allowing customers to order items that were sold out). Totally not the grub hub guys fault, but he was still trying to resolve the issue with the owner before delivering incomplete orders. Owner was mad at him (?), cussed at him...Don't care who was right or wrong, it was uncalled for.
That's when we left. Heard the owner still screaming inside as we crossed the street to where we parked. Last visit for me, cringeworthy the...
