1st time visit. Restaurant was very clean and staff was very nice. Ordered 2 LG. pizzas for dine in. 1st green pepper and spinach 2nd green peppers and sausage. Pizzas came out fresh and hot. 1st thing I noticed was the nice crispy bottomed crust. It had a light and delicate flavor with a chewy center. Absolutely delicious!!! The cheese is high quality - could stretch for a mile! The sausage was plentiful and VERY tasty and spinach was fresh! The green peppers seemed like maybe they were lightly pre-cooked but still good. For my taste, I prefer them freshly sliced. The topping were displayed beautifully and very appetizing!
Now, the down side... You probably NEVER want to see water dripping from a pizza. Within minutes, the crust became a little soggy from the sauce. I would never argue with a purist, but in my opinion, pizza sauce should have flavor. Unfortunately, the sauce was watery and flavorless.
The true test to me of good pizza, is if it's good cold. Regrettably, the crust didn't hold up well do to sogginess. We tried to reheat on a pan. The cheese was still lovely, flavorful and stringy! The crust edges were as delicious as it was the night before.
All in all, the pizza was good, but the sauce really took away from making it a...
Read moreWe were a group of three friends riding the C&O Canal Towpath on our bikes for four days. Williamsport was a stop on our ride both ways. After a long day of riding 40+ miles on a bike and a small lunch, one wants something hardy and filling for dinner.
Well this place did not disappoint us at all. On our first stop, we ordered one of their large pizzas. It was freshly made with just the right amount of our favorite toppings. Very satisfying. But three hungry males couldn't finish that large pizza.
On our second stop, each of us wanted something different so the following were ordered: spaghetti with sauce, fettucine alfredo with chicken, and a small stromboli. Well, none of us were able to finish our dinners. On a bike ride of course one cannot carry the leftovers, otherwise this is the perfect place to bring your family, have a hearty and affordable meal, and then take a doggie bag home.
Although this place does not serve beer or wine or any alcohol, there's a liquor outlet just two doors down that has a wide selection of adult...
Read moreI love me some Italian food. Nothing better in the world than a hearty lasagna, or a big meatball swimming in sauce. Part of why I fell for my wife is because she’s New York Italian and she understand my love for the food and culture. And even then she can tell you I probably love it more. I’ve even worked in a fine dining Italian restaurant, and loved every minute of it.
But this place right here? Absolute bomb diggity. Atmosphere is very casual, decor and furniture, ehhhh perhaps a little dated. But the people are friendly as HECK and the food is delicious. I’ve been to nicer looking and more expensive places that aren’t even half as good. A nice, cozy gem of an Italian joint that doesn’t break the bank and still delivers better food than a typical run of the mill Olive Garden. Feels like a home away from home....
