So I’m told this is the best Italian food in PArkersburg, this area , Boaz, Vienna, well, I lost track of time, walk in at 825pm! Yes, late dinner, so Jensen welcomed me, I told him I know it’s late, what are your hours? He said you’re fine, we are open until 9. I go, are you sure? He said yes. So I get seated by him, Macey is my waitress, asked me all the right questions and I got the salad, water, chicken parm/lunch size because of the time, etc. 😮 WOW!!! The salad was cold, blue cheese dressing was so good I could just eat that and be happy. The pickles are sweet and I was pleased, because you normally won’t see that on a side salad. That was 5 stars alone! The food was HOT, delicious and the chicken parm beats Olive Garden HANDS DOWN! Dinner size is two chicken breasts and two pieces of garlic bread, get the cheese melted on it!!! Very filling, ordered apple pie to go with my coffee. If I could give MORE THAN 5 stars I should, VERY DESERVING!!! Get over here y’all 👍🏽😃👍🏽😃😉😉😉😉😉🫡🫡🫡 *Came back the next night and at a more reasonable feeding time, 645pm, parking in back was quite full, but found out this place is huge! Carli/Host and Kayla/ Waitress were literally clones of Jensen and Macey. Tried the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, shrimp and mushrooms, Kayla allowed me to, very nice of her and she is talkative and pleasant and has the same due date July 2, her, July 3 mine, as my third grandchild: girls too!!!! French onion soup is the best!! I’ll get the bowl next time. Not salty and PLENTY OF CHEESE!!! The Caesar salad was so good, let me have blue cheese dressing on the side too. Seriously, this place offers a wonderful dining experience and the decor is just fine so don’t lower your stars because of it. Service and food are what count and this place EXCEEDS 5 STARS ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re across the River, get over here!!!!! Thanks Davinci🫠 Trina, GM and Chris, Owner!🫡 came by to talk and are congenial and recognized me because of the reviews. Deservingly so, keep feeding the people, you’re a TOP 5 restaurant experience in the MidOhioValley and for sure the TriState area!!! 🫠🫠🫠 Carli was my server and was spectacular like everyone else here. Mona Lisa was my choice and if you’re ever cold , just the heat em from the bowl is actually pretty scary, just kidding 😂 Atmosphere and service are 5 star here and you just have to keep coming here! Next meal will be the German Pizza!!! Bon...
Read moreSince the service was fine and I found the retro dining room kind of cool, this one star rating is entirely about the food and it absolutely was bad enough to make this a one star dining experience. The house salad that comes with dinner had the saddest, most pale iceberg lettuce you could imagine. It was just a plate of colorless, crunchy nothing except...it came with pickle slices...on a side salad. I should be more grateful since it was easily the most flavorful thing on it. We ordered the spinach and artichoke wontons and, if the spinach and artichoke dip in the wontons had any flavor whatsoever, this would be been a great little appetizer and not needed a side of ranch dressing since they were crisp and even looked inviting. Oh, then the entrees came. First, our garlic bread was surely just a frozen, reheated/toasted loaf that was sliced with margarine and shakes of garlic salt. It was essentially salt toast. Her fettuccine alfredo looked like the pasta had been sitting somewhere long enough for the ends of the noodles to start drying out. The sauce itself tasted like thick, warm milk. Actual parmesan cheese has never even been in the same room as whatever this sauce was supposed to be. I had whatever the spaghetti with their "famous sauce" and cheese baked over the top was called with added meatballs. The famous sauce had a slight smell and flavor of Wendy's chili. Now for the meatballs. The texture of them wasn't far off from how you'd imagine canned dog food, just weird mush. I'm not sure how you even accomplish this with meat. As for the taste. The dog food texture makes more sense because there was a weird flavor that I can only say was reminiscent of how doggy doo smells. All this was slathered over slightly mushy angel hair pasta. Last part is just a funny anecdote. I don't really care since I'm not that bashful, but if privacy is important to you when going number one, the men's room door doesn't lock, so if someone opens the door while you're doing your business, which happened to me, the door opens to what looks to be a busy traffic area of the restaurant with a pretty generous rear view of you posted up...
