I have to admit, I kept my expectations in check when I saw the uninspired exterior of the building and slightly wilted quality to the neighborhood aesthetic, but this was a classic case of a building not being fancy, but the food inside is great. Hands-down, this one of the best deli sandwiches I have ever had. The store owners are also the deli chefs, and the simple salami and provolone sandwich I had was very fresh, tasty, and a remarkable value at only $6. Buzy but they keep it moving and clean, great memory meaning they know you and remember, so I say it's genuine. No old grease for your fries, but the cheesesteaks could use abit more meat and drainage. Just because it's on the Ave doesn't mean it's a just another corner store gas station establishment.
