Greg's Pizza Route 38 — Restaurant in Wilmington

Beware.

Second visit. Decided to try the RANCHERO Hot Sub…”Chicken, Bacon, Ranch, Lettuce, Tomatoes & Onion.”

Also ordered a medium size of, mozzarella sticks, which the owner said was “12” sticks. (And got 2 iced teas.).

No other customers were there. After a bit of a long wait we finally got the food.

The chicken in the sub tasted great. All okay. My daughter went to start on some mozz sticks after they cooled a bit. As she opened the styrofoam box, i joked with her, that she should count them.

She did.

11 sticks! So I went to the guy, told him. He apologized…well, sort of. Soon brought us 4 more. OK.

When we were about done with sub it suddenly dawned on me, something was missing. There was NO bacon in the sub.

I went back up, to throw away the trash and told him…ah…there was no bacon in the sub.

He acted kind of smug, and told me yes there was — the bacon was “on the bottom.”

I just repeated that there was no bacon. Because there was NO bacon. Not a shred. He made NO attempt to apologize or make it right.

Won’t be going to “Greg’s” again! Is this some thing they do to rip ppl off? Mozzarella sticks are expensive. 11 is not 12! Just figure customers won’t notice?

Ran out of bacon? It’s the SECOND ingredient!

Careless, lazy, or...

The good:

online ordering counter person was pleasant convenient parking both Coke and Pepsi products

The "meh":

The facility is clean enough, but edging towards tired. Simple interior. No seating.

The bad:

On our most recent visit, our order was incorrect. We ordered online, no customizations.

My wife ordered clam strips, we got a much more expensive whole belly clam dinner. Sounds great, but she doesn't like whole bellies (and neither do I). It comes with steak fries and onion rings, both of which were pretty tasteless.

I got the stir fry chicken sandwich, which was swimming in teriyaki sauce. It would have been a decent sandwich with a quarter of the sauce.

Family got a margarita pizza. The pizza was good enough, they have a decent crust, but wasn't what we hoped for. I wish they offered an Italian margherita rather than a Greek...

I placed an order. When the order was placed they estimated an hour. Hour and a half later still no delivery. So I tried calling and couldn’t get anyone on the phone. 10 minutes later the drivers shows up. He gives me my food and apologized. No biggie things happen. I open my food and all of it is cold and my drink is hot. I look further at my seafood platter and the clams and the haddock are missing. I’m not one to complain but now I’m irritated. Then I start eating my food and the batter is undercooked and mushy! The plate I just spent almost $30 on is now completely disgusting, missing two out of the four items and I can’t eat it and still can’t get anyone...
