Title: Disappointed with Poor Service and Overpriced Menu at McDonald's on Market St.
I recently visited the McDonald's on Market St. in Wilmington, DE, and I must say that my experience left a lot to be desired. Not only was the service extremely poor, but I also found the prices to be exorbitantly high compared to what I used to pay.
Firstly, let me address the issue of the price hike. I was shocked to find that a simple hamburger, which used to cost $0.89, now set me back over $2. This sudden increase feels excessive, especially considering the quality of the food offered.
My disappointment with the pricing, however, pales in comparison to the way my daughter and I were treated during our visit. When I requested a receipt to ensure the accuracy of our order, I was incredulously told that the restaurant had run out of receipt paper. It was only after escalating the issue to the manager that we were finally able to obtain one.
This experience left me feeling disrespected and unheard as a customer. The manager's attitude only exacerbated the problem, displaying a lack of empathy and proper training. Basic customer service skills are a fundamental requirement for any establishment, and it is evident that this McDonald's is lacking in that aspect.
Furthermore, the fact that the restaurant had run out of receipt paper is simply unacceptable. It is a basic necessity that should be readily available for customers. I would suggest that the management invest in proper training for their staff, as well as ensuring that they have a sufficient budget allocated for essential supplies such as receipt paper.
All things considered, I cannot in good conscience recommend visiting this particular McDonald's location on Market St. in Wilmington, DE. The combination of poor service, unreasonably high prices, and a general lack of professionalism make it clear that my time and money would be better...

I am a dasher who cannot stand picking up people's orders at this McDonald's because they are incredibly slow and unorganized. The employees are usually high on weed and are very slow and scatterbrained. I asked one extremely high guy more than a few times for my two pickups by giving him the order numbers of each but he failed every time to go check then come back to me to tell me whether they were there or not. I think he forgot what the numbers are by the time he went over there to look. It took talking to more than a few different employees standing there at the drive-thru window on foot because I wasn't going to waste my gas waiting in a line that wrapped around the building for all kinds of employees to come and go to the window taking so many order numbers from so many dashers that it was insane. So many other delivery drivers showed up after me and picked up their delivery orders before me so that right there says they don't have their s* together. My rating is not for the food but rather the very poor service and the lack of everything. I must have waited at least a half hour but more than likely 45 minutes before I finally got my order. I should have canceled the order but it's so much trouble to contact support to do that then I still get dinged by DD for not completing the order. I will never go back to this McDonald's at night when I cannot go in the lobby. At least in the lobby I can have a seat while waiting for them to get their s* together to give...

Iāve come usually during the night so not sure how the day time is but at night there is always a drive thru line and I sit there for about every time 15 minutes then when your at the speaker they donāt talk to you for like five minutes. People are honking their horns to get their attention. This time I called to make sure the ice cream machine was working and they said yes. So when it was my time to order they decided to tell me they arenāt taking any orders and are only taking DoorDash orders. So I said I just called and also have been sitting here for while. This isnāt the first time Iāve sat in the line for a while bc they just ignore us and done take anybodyās orders. Last time I came I have to skip the speaker bc no body was acknowledging me So I went to the window said Iāve been sitting there for a while and wanted to order. He proceeded to ask me if I can go back in the drive thru line and sit another 20 minutesā¦ā¦ā¦ ummm no. Anyways kinda sucks when this is close to where I live and I canāt even go here unless I wanna waste 30 minutes of my life and then be told they canāt serve me and for me to order DoorDash instead. So here I am ordering DoorDash for one McFlurry and spending 20 plus dollars. Honestly might be better than wasting 30...
