Rum Punch Restaurant is definitely a spot worth visiting! We did take away. The jerk chicken was amazing, full of flavor with just the right amount of heat. The steamed vegetables were cooked to perfection, still fresh and vibrant, and the mac and cheese was creamy and comforting. I also loved the plantains, sweet and fried just right, and the fried chicken was seasoned perfectly with a crispy finish. A must-try is their beef patties with coco bread, a classic combo that’s a staple at any meal. On top of the great food, the customer service was warm and welcoming, which really made the experience even better. I also appreciate that they’re open on Sundays, sometimes I just don’t feel like cooking, and it’s nice to have a good option available. The prices are a bit steep. The only downside was the indoor décor, which could use a little facelift to match the quality of the food and service.

I saw a video from a blogger giving this place thumbs up so I decided to try it for myself. I ordered OxTails with rice and peas and extra gravy plus a side of cabbage. The best thing about this restaurant is the portion sizes. The OxTails were very large and had average meat on them but they seriously lacked any flavor at all which also lead to the gravy being flavorless plus the cabbage was very undercooked and rushed it seemed. I am not a fan of crunchy cabbage. I wouldn’t recommend this place for Oxtails with all the better ones not too far away. I do however like the fact they are open on Sundays which is very rare for a Caribbean restaurant in Delaware I will come back to try other dishes and see if only the Oxtails are a miss.

I'm originally from New York and I'm not going to say the beef patties are exactly like back home. But what I will say is best in Delaware in reference to the beef. Patty, for sure the crust and seasoning remind me of the patty shop on 164th in Jamaica Queens if you know you know. But once again I'm not saying it's on the same level but in reference to Delaware. Amazing! 100% worth stopping by and just giving it a try if I'm lying. I'm dying and as you read it I'm living strong....
