The Escape — Restaurant in Wilmington

Awesome bar, amazing food, excellent staff! The Escape is a choose your own adventure kind of place. Want a classic small-town bar feel with pool and great drinks? Go inside. Want to listen to music and watch the game or enjoy the nice weather? Go outside to the bar where there’s a stage for live bands, cornhole and tons of tvs. Want a more intimate, quiet experience? Go out back and enjoy the nice, shady patio. Whatever you’re looking for, they’ve got it. If you live near Wilmington, try it once and you won’t be able to stay away. If you’re passing through Wilmington, you HAVE to make this a stop on your trip. I recommend the patty melt with a nice, tall, cold Long Island...but you really can’t go wrong...

We stopped in here to grab dinner after a show at the Murphy Theater. The smoked pork quesadilla and skillet corn were good. Service was fast and the staff were all friendly. I wish this wasn't such a far drive for us (over an hour) because it seems like a great place to hang out and we'd definitely like to try more of the things on their menu. I loved how one wall is all garage doors that open onto the patio essentially doubling the space when the weather is good. And the outdoor patio looks like a great place to catch...

Been going to this place since ive been above age. Last night I went for a drink , no one was there maybe 8 people. Bartendar(young man)beard ask for my i.d. I ask if he serious and pull my I d out in my wallet he then stands back 5 feet and says take it out , when I asked for the manager, Mark the bartenders tells me to leave, walks off and calls the police ...
