I picked up a catered Thanksgiving dinner for 15. I was completely disappointed. Im not sure if this was supposed to be a half cooked go home and season it yourself dinner but that is exactly what I had to do.
Turkey completely bland with no seasoning not even pepper. Instructions were to cook 45 minutes...took two hrs to get to temperature. Had to season it before baking Dressing horrible times ten! Why is vinegar in stuffing? This was the most horrible stuffing Ive ever tasted. It fluffed into a big bland nothing. Yams...boiled sweet potatoes no nothing on them to make them a yam. Should've called them boiled sweet potatoes. I had to attempt to recook them and turn them into a yam. Green beans....just heated and poured into a pan. Horrible. Not even salt or pepper. Had to recook them as well. Gravy.....white flour fluff...no flavor other than the scortched burnt taste. I spent as much time in the kitchen as if Id cooked a scratch tday dinner. Add in all the mess and dishes...I could've really saved that 90 bucks. My advice, go sample before you spend big. Best part is they are super friendly with great...
Read moreLet me tell you about this place... I spent 3 months in Wilson NC on business travel, living out of a suitcase, but eatting lunch here nearly everyday was always a delight. If you like food like your southern grandma used to make, this is your spot! The dining room is very simple, and a little dated, but very clean. Not loud or or over crowded by any means and a wonderful place to go with family and friends to enjoy a casual meal and be able to converse with one another. Fried zucchini and tomatoes are really good, and I loved pretty much every special they had. But their chicken salad was...
Read moreThis is at the Asheboro location. I had a very hard time navigating through the restaurant in my wheelchair, just to use the bathroom. Then we sat outside, in March, it was chilly, the prices were high for the quality, and portions, I had the chicken cordon blue, my chicken dry, broccoli way over cooked and the sauce, just gross. Also ordered kabob, not a kabob.. Meat on a stick, no veggies, that's not a kabob, and since when is Spanikopi two pitas with spinach and onions, not even pressed together just one on top of the other, and cut into 4 pieces...extremely displeased, and won't be returning. and prices were way to much for it all.. Please do better about being wheel chair accessible for...
