Listen, I’ve been to some questionable spots before, but Geisha Mix managed to set the bar so low it’s now chilling with Atlantis. Hands down, the worst hibachi experience of my life. If you enjoy waiting, disappointment, and food that makes you question your life choices, this is the place for you! Let’s start with the fact that there was exactly one cook working the entire restaurant. One lone warrior battling an army of hungry, unsuspecting diners. It took 30 minutes just for someone to acknowledge our presence—at this point, I was convinced I was invisible to the staff. After an hour of just sitting there like abandoned children, someone finally asked us what we wanted to drink. That’s right—an hour in, and we hadn’t even gotten a sip of water. Then came the sushi. Oh boy. Picture a crime scene—because that’s what this was. The sushi had visible freezer burn. I don’t mean a little frost; I mean it looked like it had been cryogenically frozen. My husband, bless his soul, tried to let them know. What did they do? They argued with him. They asked him to provide photographic evidence from his phone of what yellowtail is supposed to look like. When he did, they gaslit him into believing he had somehow conjured a fake image of a fish. Then came the hibachi, and if the sushi hadn’t already crushed my spirit, this finished me off. The cook—who seemed like he had two days of experience, max—launched rice into the air like he was trying to feed the ceiling tiles. Half of it landed on us. There was zero seasoning in the rice. None. Nada. It tasted like he just drowned everything in butter and called it a day. My scallops? Undercooked and mushy. While we were waiting (and waiting… and waiting), we desperately tried to find another restaurant to salvage our Valentine’s celebration. But every place we called hit us with a busy signal, as if the universe itself was telling us, Nope, you’re stuck in this hibachi purgatory. So, like the hopeful fools we were, we stayed put, whispering prayers to the hibachi gods that things would improve. Just when we thought our evening couldn’t get any more surreal, the bill arrived, proudly showcasing charges for our freezer-burned sushi. We politely requested its removal and they argued with us again! With a 4.7-star rating, you’d think Geisha Mix was the culinary equivalent of winning the lottery. Instead, it felt like we’d been handed a scratch-off that said try again! I’m convinced they must have invested more in their online ratings than in their actual rice seasoning because there is no way no how this place has received the ratings it has in the past.

My bf found a post about this place on FB in the Thai community he follows. After speaking with the owner, we found out the post was made by the owner's wife to help promote it. Just opened on 9/1/2022. We decided to try it tonight and it was AMAZING!! We were honestly surprised by what was on the menu esp everything under the carpaccio section. Very fresh fish and presentation is great! Thai tea was perfect. Not sweet like Thai restaurants. Interior was beautiful. Very spacious w tables that can fit up to 6 people comfortably. I liked that they have contactless payment. Always love seeing how that works because some apps are not user friendly but the service they signed up for is great! I liked that we didn't feel rushed to eat so we were able to enjoy every single bite. The staff and owner are so nice! The only thing I would suggest are changing the wasabi so it's more spicy (it's a bit weak haha), the nigiri rice portion needs to be consistent and it would've been nice to have hot tea on the menu. We will definitely be going back to try other menu items.

Geisha Mix Restaurant: Simply the Best! Our side of town has long been lacking in great sushi options, and finding a good hibachi spot? Forget about it—until now! The food is nothing short of amazing, from their fresh, flavorful sushi rolls to their perfectly cooked hibachi dishes. But it’s not just about the food; the people and the service are what truly set this place apart. The staff are not only attentive and efficient but also incredibly friendly and entertaining. You can tell they genuinely care about creating a memorable experience for every guest. They are tucked away in the corner of a small shopping center at DI and Sandhill. So you might miss them if you’re not looking for it. But trust me, it’s worth seeking out. Their prices are fair, especially considering the top-notch quality, and the atmosphere is welcoming and lively. Don’t just take my word for it—check out our video to see why this spot should be your “go-to” for sushi and hibachi as it has been for us. You won’t be disappointed!

THE WET BANANA

"I’ve had some interesting dining experiences in my life, but my visit to this sushi restaurant was something else. Let me set the scene: at first glance, everything seemed promising. We were seated quickly, and the initial impression wasn’t bad—until things started to unravel in ways I could have never predicted.

It all started when they completely botched our order. Now, I’m not talking about a simple mix-up between rolls—no, this was a full-blown disaster. What we got versus what we ordered were in two completely different universes. We tried to laugh it off, thinking maybe this was just a hiccup and the night would improve from here. Oh, how naïve we were. That’s when the real fun began. The staff must have noticed we weren’t thrilled because they instantly adopted the ‘if we don’t look at them, they don’t exist’ policy. No eye contact, no communication, nothing. They actively dodged us, like we had suddenly developed some contagious disease. Our water glasses sat empty for so long I started to think they were trying to help us practice fasting. If there were an Olympic sport for avoiding customers, they’d win gold, no contest.

And then, the piece de resistance arrived at our table: the sausage banana sushi. Yes, you heard that right. A combination so baffling, so utterly wrong on every conceivable level, that I began to seriously question my life choices. Sausage. Banana. In sushi form. I can only assume this was a cruel joke, or perhaps the chef had some deep-seated vendetta against humanity itself. There are bad flavors in the world, and then there’s what I can only describe as an assault on the senses. The first bite was so disturbing, so offensive to my palate, that I started to reevaluate all the decisions that had led me to this exact moment in life. Every choice I made seemed to be a mistake, culminating in this one tragic bite.

As the bizarre combination of sausage and banana sloshed around in my mouth, I couldn’t help but envy every person who had never stepped foot in this restaurant. In fact, I think I might actually envy people who’ve never eaten sushi at all. It was that bad. I’m not being dramatic when I say that I would trade places with any one of those lucky souls in a heartbeat. The flavor was so profoundly awful that, for a fleeting moment, I found myself contemplating existential questions about the meaning of life. I’ve never thought I’d say this about food, but it was bad enough to make me wish I was anywhere else—literally anywhere else.

And so, I sat there, with my empty water glass, ignored by the staff, full of regret for every choice that brought me to this restaurant. If you’re ever in the mood for a dining experience that combines neglect, confusion, and the worst food pairing known to man, by all means, give this place a try. But if you value your taste buds, your dignity, and your overall happiness, I’d advise running in the opposite...

Restaurant Review: Sushi Geisha Mix – A Fusion Experience in Las Vegas

Sushi Geisha Mix, located in the bustling heart of Las Vegas, is a culinary fusion of Japanese tradition and modern innovation, offering a unique dining experience that’s hard to forget. From its sleek, contemporary design to the vibrant energy of its open kitchen, this restaurant successfully blends an upscale ambiance with a laid-back, welcoming vibe. Whether you’re here for a quick bite or a leisurely dinner, the atmosphere strikes a balance between high-end sophistication and the casual, friendly spirit you’d expect in a city known for its eclectic dining scene.

The menu at Sushi Geisha Mix is where the restaurant truly stands out. While traditional sushi offerings like nigiri, sashimi, and rolls are expertly executed, it’s the inventive fusion dishes that really elevate the experience. The restaurant is known for its creative rolls, incorporating unexpected ingredients like truffle oil, jalapeños, and even crispy fried onions to give familiar sushi combinations a fresh twist. The Geisha Roll, a fan favorite, pairs sweet and spicy tuna with avocado and mango, creating a surprising burst of flavors that will satisfy both sushi purists and those looking for something different.

For those seeking a more immersive experience, the Omakase menu offers a journey through a carefully curated selection of dishes, highlighting the freshest fish and seasonal ingredients available. Each bite is thoughtfully presented, with textures and flavors that reflect the chefs’ passion and expertise. Additionally, the sushi bar is a great spot for interacting with the chefs, who take the time to explain each dish and the inspiration behind it.

Beyond sushi, the restaurant offers a range of delectable appetizers, including crispy tempura, creamy miso soup, and vibrant seaweed salads. The miso cod, in particular, is a standout — tender, flavorful, and perfectly charred. Pair your meal with one of their signature cocktails or a glass of fine sake to enhance the experience.

In terms of service, Sushi Geisha Mix excels with attentive yet unobtrusive staff who ensure that your needs are met without disrupting the meal’s flow. The pace of the meal is well-timed, allowing guests to savor each dish at a leisurely pace.

Sushi Geisha Mix combines innovation with quality, offering a distinctive twist on traditional sushi that is perfect for both adventurous eaters and those craving familiar flavors. Located off the Strip but still easily accessible, it’s a fantastic option for those looking to enjoy high-end sushi in a lively, modern setting. Whether you’re a sushi lover or someone looking to try something new, Sushi Geisha Mix promises a memorable experience that’s both satisfying...

I don't even know where or how to start this review. We enter around 6pm and it's fairly empty and we get seated pretty quickly for being Valentines Day. It's take roughly 25min to get our alcoholic drinks and 30min to get our first half roll but after all that waiting the drink my wife ordered is warm and the one I ordered didn't taste like anything but ice and alcohol. The first wave of sushi rolls that we order aren't even what we ordered we kept getting rolls that contain cream cheese even though we didn't order any that had cream cheese to begin with. It doesn't help that the server ( tall black haired lady with long fingernails and a huge attitude) never knew what she was bringing us or to anyone. Throughout the visit she kept talking down on customers for mistakes that were kitchen mess ups. ( I felt bad for the older couple, and saw the older man start to get annoyed) It just kept getting worse thought out our visit since the Valentines decorations ( heart shaped balloon) not tied to anything in a restaurant full of ceiling fans kept crashing into one another, making very loud bangs and at one point broke one which caused the fan cover to fall and potentially hit someone. The manager with bleached hair was the single hand weakest link to the restaurant. He wouldn't do anything or didn't know anything as he heard the balloons hit the fans and proceeded to not do anything to shut the fans of until the whole restaurant was spooked from how bad it was getting. He's attempts to help guest would be asking what's wrong, listen, and walk away while saying I'll get a waiter. (F.Y.I he wouldn't tell anyone because I had seen/heard him do multiple times) At this points I was fed up with the visit and had enough but to my surprise the takoyaki I ordered finally showed up to my table after almost 1 1/2 hours, while I'm taking a bite I realize it's not hot but still frozen in the center. At this point I try to get the managers attention but he wouldn't even enter the dinning area, he'd peak, notice his servers stressed and immediately leave the dining area. I've been to many sushi places and understand that it's by no means a quick eat and leave visit especially on holiday's but the experience that unfolded today was by far the worse experience I've ever had. I will give it another shot as our first visit here was amazing and wonderful. This second visit will forever be a core memory for my and my wife and it's was funny watching the world burn for it to instantly go south being ignored and going through the rollercoaster experience of geshia mix on a short staffed Valentines Day.

Asain sever was the best she tried her best and I wish her the best of luck. She was the best waiter I could have had going though this...
