My wife took me here for my birthday. We are relatively new to the area and this did not come up in our initial searches. There were several other places that looked good in Malden and some we are familiar with. Two of them were cash only, we continued our search and my wife found Serena's. It's a little weird to find because they share the building with an Asian restaurant.

When we walked in the young lady at the counter was incredibly sweet, we waited about 20 minutes for a table. When we were seated we were greeted by our server Katrina. She was also incredibly sweet. The apps, the drinks, the specials were all outstanding. I had the veal and my wife had the salmon limone, both were delicious. The marinara and meatball appetizer was great too. We also had drinks and desert. It was a truly wonderful meal with very friendly service in what is clearly a family oriented neighborhood restaurant. We will be going back!

Was our first time never will return!! Service was horrible, not to mention a cockaroach was walking on the wall next to my seat and I pointed it out to the waiter and he said “It’s only a small one” and killed it with the menu!!! We should have left at that point but our food was already ordered. Took hour for our food to arrive chicken Marsela watery caned mushrooms. pork chops no taste, veal Marsala all dried up. Waiter didn’t seem to care he was the bartender, the waiter, and probably cooking to! When we received the bill nothing was removed. I asked for the owner and complained about our experience he was shocked about the cockaroach the waiter never told him he took off the dessert that was it !!
