Nouvelle Maison is a treat. You walk into a delightful aroma of fresh-baked goods including breads, macarons, danishes, and other French treats. I tried a variety of their offerings and everything was as you'd expect- delicious. The sausage croissant was perfectly flaky, with a savory filling that had just the right amount of seasoning. The lox, served on a freshly baked baguette was flavorful and complemented by a tangy cream cheese. The baguette was everything you’d hope for—crispy on the outside, soft and airy on the inside, making it perfect for any meal. The tomato danish was a delightful surprise—light, savory, and just the right balance of flavor. To drink, I had a hibiscus iced tea and that was average. This place is an authentic French fine provision shop. From artisanal jams and gourmet chocolates to a dedicated section filled with an impressive variety of cheeses, it’s a little piece of France right in the heart of town. They also have a curated selection of sake, craft beer, aperitifs, and wines that pair perfectly with any of their baked goods, making it an ideal stop for anyone with a passion for high-quality French food. Parking is super convenient, with plenty of spaces available right by to the Winchester train station. There’s an entrance directly from the parking lot into the shop, but that’s for employees only. You can walk around to the main entrance. On Sundays, there are no parking restrictions, so you can enjoy a leisurely visit without worrying about time limits. I’ll definitely be returning soon for another round. Highly recommend for anyone in the area with a passion for quality French goods.

Gourmet French grocery store with an excellent selection of cheese and pastries. Stopped by on Valentine’s Day to pick up some pastries and small gifts. I’ve been to a few “gourmet” French grocery stores around the GBA, but this one stood out the most in terms of layout and overall vibe. The café section had an enticing pastry selection, and my favorites were the Pain Suisse and the Almond Crisp Treat—both had the perfect texture and weren’t overly sweet. For drinks, I tried the Valentine’s Day special Chocolate Strawberry Latte, but it was just okay. Maybe getting it iced was a mistake, as the strawberry chocolate syrup quickly settled at the bottom and was tough to mix properly. The cheese corner was also fantastic (offered free tastings before purchase for their in-house branded cheese). I’m not a cheese connoisseur, but the employee was incredibly helpful in guiding me through. Prices were on the higher side, but the triple cream cheese (Quebec & French imports) was amazing—rich, creamy, and made for a well-received gift.

Prepare to be hooked. Nouvelle Maison brings an exceptional range of gourmet delights that will fill your shopping baskets and thrill your taste buds. The boulangerie serves up the most authentic French pastries you’ll find in the Greater Boston area. This thoughtfully curated shop also offers an impressive selection of gourmet foods, from biscuits and chocolates to pastas, breads, oils, and more. Their wine and spirits section includes unique selections rarely seen stateside, and the charcuterie and fromagerie counters feature an extensive variety of European and local delicacies. If I could give it 6 stars, I would! Bravo, Nouvelle Maison—you’ve given Winchester a new favorite destination.
