The Book and Board — Local services in Winchester

My wife and I stopped in here to get a board game to bring over to our friends house for some fun and entertainment for the evening.

Now, we’re not the biggest Dungeons and Dragons nerds you’ve ever encountered, so I was concerned by the service I’d get when I walked into the cozy little shop. However that concerned was immediately lifted away when both staff members stop what they were doing, shouted across the store that they were there to help out if we needed anything while we browsed. As my wife and I continued to browse they eventually came over to begin making recommendations to us as they saw us beginning to struggle more and more to make decisions.

I visited The Book and Board this past Friday and again today for the Final Fantasy prerelease, and I couldn't be more pleased. The staff at the counter were incredibly kind and welcoming on both occasions, truly passionate and attentive, which made the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable.

Stopped in yesterday because my youngest was hanging with friends and I had a couple of hours to kill. I cannot recommend Book and Board enough. Friendly folks (who even politely listened to some old guy (me) reminisce about the good ol' days of comics). Got a terrific deal on a newer book I had been looking for for some time.
