I took my girlfriend and my son out to eat her for my girlfriend's birthday. After reading the reviews, I was skeptical because half of them were positive, and half was negative. If you don't read any of the other reviews, read this one. I'm a pretty opened minded person when it comes to new restaurants, especially Chinese cuisine.
upon entering, we were greeted with a sign that says pre-pay, although the hostess came and got us and told us we could pay after we were done. If there's one thing I'll say, it's that the customer service was great, the hostess was super nice seating us and the "waitress" was quick to get us refills on our drinks when they were low.
The first thing we noticed when coming in was that the temperature risen as we walked in, By the time we left, my girlfriend and I were sweating, and my sons' cheeks were red from just sitting there eating. There was absolutely NO use of the air conditioning.
On to the food. It's a buffet. If you've been led to believe it's a sit down and order type of restaurant, you will be disappointed. Now when it comes to the selection of the food. It was abysmal. there are 2 short buffet lines with main courses. 40% of them were some forms of chicken, 40% was some sort of bread or rice and the remaining 20% was American food for children.
Although the choices were lacking, majority of the food was super-hot and seemed pretty fresh. on the other hand, the rest was dried out, sitting there forever or were covered in oil and grease.
The food that was fresh tasted fine enough. Nothing spectacular, but we left full, So there's that.
For the two adults and one 5-year-old, the cost was $32. Overpriced for the underperforming restaurant.
My final statement is this. When we finished eating, we gave each other the look of "This was a one and done type of place" We wont be eating there again.

Read moreWhen writing a review I always like to give the positives first, so I will start with the only positive comment I can make about this restaurant.
Positives: The waitress who seated us and served our drinks was very attentive to our needs and kept our drinks filled throughout our meal. I gave her a nice tip.
Now for the cons: I have eaten at many Chinese restaurants where the only menu offering was a buffet. The buffet at this restaurant was undoubtable the worst I have ever encountered. It did not include hardly any of the traditional Chinese dishes typically found on buffets. There was not a single spicy dish on the buffet. None of the items on the buffet where hot. They were warm at best. Many of the items appeared to have been sitting on the line for a long time without being freshened up. Most of the desert offerings were not fresh. All the baked items were hard. I went to the restroom. It was not dirty but the door was. A little soap spray and wipe down with a clean cloth would have made my entry into the restroom a lot more inviting. When I see something like this in the restroom doorway I wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. There was no china or silverware. If I was eating in a fast food restaurant using Styrofoam plates with plastic utensils would be acceptable, but in a restaurant where I paid nearly $30 for dinner I expect china and silverware.
I learned a valuable lesson at the Taste of China. When I next go into a restaurant and am asked to pay before I eat, I will refuse until I go and inspect the...
Read moreI went to taste of china on 6/22/2018, i arrived around 11:16 so the food experiance would be as fresh as possible. The selection as far as asian buffets go is decient and most of the dishes are pretty good as well. Stand out dishes would be the bourbon chicken which was served in rather generous chunks and the glaze was delightful. And another dish would be the honey chicken, it had a very good flavor and i enjoyed it almost as much as the bourbon. The crab rangoon was alright they are a tad bit to rich with the cream cheese inside and i didn't taste much if any crab but they looked hand made. The only thing that i can complain about would be that the staff checks on you alittle to frequently, but the staff seem very nice and professional otherwise. The price is rather affordable, i think i spent around 9.50 - 10 for the meal which is quite competitive and the selection is about what you would expect for the price. If you are craving an asian buffet i'd say go here i dont think you would be dissapointed in making this your...
