Donuts are amazing. I didn't believe my husband when he said they were better than Krispy Kreme, but he was absolutely correct! Their glazed donuts are really good and both their whipped cream and Bavarian cream filled donuts are DELICIOUS. I've been here multiple times. I don't recommend popping in anytime later than 45 minutes before closing. They seem to get a little hostile around that time, less friendly, more likely to rush you. Stopped in on the way to Red River Gorge and we were so impressed. The donuts were all very fresh.The donut holes were warm, and the apple pie bear claw was unique to Frank's for sure. We can never pass up an apple fritter, and by comparison this was one of the best ever! When we got up to the counter for seconds (after the first 4 assorted we wanted more) the lady asked if we wanted hot fritters from the back! We enjoyed our visit here to Frank's donut shop while in town. The price is absolutely hard to beat and the made fresh daily is awesome!
